Jon Hamm will be featured on the cover of the June issue of Vanity Fair in which he opens up on his life before Mad Men fame. Jon Hamm Has Revealed That He Once Worked As A Set Dresser For "Soft-Core Porn."

We were recently offered a unique glimpse into Hamm's past when a clip of him starring on a 1996 episode of reality TV dating show The Big Date surfaced and went viral. On the show he is introduced as a waiter but Hamm has revealed to Vanity Fair that he was also working in movies at the time...just not the kind he'd have probably like to brag about.

"I was actually at that time working as a set dresser for Cinemax soft-core-porn movies," he says adding that the show came at a low point: "It was soul-crushing."

Of his role on Mad Men, Hamm is philosophical, saying "This is the best job I've ever had and maybe ever will have in my life-it's so fun to play all of this. It can be relentlessly dark. It can be terribly sexually inappropriate, is a way to say it. But who else gets a chance to do any of that stuff? There's so much there."
