In her new memoir 'True Love,' Lopez exposes fans to her tumultuous private life where she talks about her failed romances, and her marriage with Anthony ending.
Jennifer Lopez has undoubtedly had one of the most prosperous pop music careers ever, but unfortunately she cannot translate this success into her personal life. The 45 year-old songstress has been married three times and been involved in a string of long-term relationships, in which she recently admitted were abusive.
Lopez and Anthony split in 2011 after seven years of marriage
In her new memoir 'True Love,' Lopez exposes fans to her tumultuous private life where she talks about her failed romances, and recalls how having a panic attack led to her deciding to end her 7-year marriage to Marc Anthony.

"As I sat there getting made up, my heart was beating out of my chest and I felt like I couldn't breathe... I became consumed with anxiety," she writes, via E!News. "What was happening to me? I leaped from my chair and said to my dear manager Benny Medina, 'Benny, something is happening! I feel like I'm going crazy.'"
At this moment, J-Lo was forced to rethink her relationship with Anthony. "It was one of those moments when you're so scared you can't even scream. In a blur of fear and panic, I looked at Benny and my mother and blurted out the words: 'I don't think I can be with Marc anymore.' Then I burst into tears."

Lopez, who divorced from Anthony in June and is now amicably co-parents to her twins Max and Emme with him, also explained how she has felt "abused" by partners in the past.
Lopez admitted she felt "abused" in past relationships
"I've never gotten a black eye or busted lip, but I have been in relationships where I felt abused one way or another: mentally, emotionally, verbally," she shares. "I know what it feels like for your soul to be diminished by the way your loved one is treating you."
Lopez first got married to a Cuban waiter called Ojani Noa in February 1997 but ended shortly after in January 1998. She then tied the knot with former back-up dancer Cris Judd in another short partnership, they were together from September 2001 until June 2002. She then began dating Casper Smart one year after separating from Marc in 2011, but the pair split earlier this year.
