James Corden is already a big name in the U.K., but this coming March the 36-year-old star will be introducing himself to an American audience when he takes over from Craig Ferguson as the host of CBS' 'Late Late Show.'

The U.S. media got a glimpse of Corden during Monday's Television Critics Association press tour in Pasadena, California, and although his debut is only a matter of months away, he still doesn't know many details regarding the show's new format.

"We literally know nothing! There's no point in us being here. We should be back working, figuring out what the show is," he told reporters. "We've been working on this for four days and have a staff of six. So if you have suggestions we'd love to hear them, because we have almost no ideas."

Corden, who co-stars in Disney's latest movie 'Into The Woods,' was also asked if he feels he is missing opportunities by taking a step back from starring in films to become a talk show host.

"There's nothing more creative than trying to make an hour of television every day," he said of his new career. "In terms of creativity, I couldn't feel less like I'm putting the brakes on - more like I'm putting my foot on the gas, really."

Corden's successful career took off when he co-created the award-winning British series 'Gavin & Stacy,' and he also starred as Paul Potts 2013's 'One Chance.' The comedic actor has also won a BAFTA Award, a Tony Award, and currently hosts the U.K. sports-themed comedy game show 'A League of Their Own.'

Despite his vast experience working in television, Corden did admit he is rather nervous about becoming the host of the CBS talk show. "It's daunting, don't get me wrong," he said. "Looking at the sign there with my name on it is enough to make me throw up on my own self."

Corden's 'Late Late Show' debut will air on March 23rd.
