Matthew Mcconaughey’s hot streak will either rank up the degrees or grow cold like Wilfred’s Snowpiercer when Christopher Nolan’s ‘Interstellar’ hits town in November. The sci-fi drama sees the Dallas Buyers Club star step into the lead role once more in what looks like another space-based Oscar contender.

But we have to be careful with that kind of talk, don’t we? Nolan’s first film since The Dark Knight trilogy is showing immense prospect. In the trailer we see McConaughey as a skilled engineer and trained pilot; except the world doesn’t need any more engineers – it’s running out of food.

“Mankind was born on earth,” reads the film’s enigmatic tagline. “It was never meant to die here.” This is Nolan’s second stab at a non-franchise movie, and given the sheer scope of Inception, it’ll be interesting to see what he does when the entire universe is ostensibly at his disposal. Having said that, he did have access to dream when working with Leo.

He does have the hottest property in Hollywood on his team, too. "You know, Chris is a great mind. His brother wrote the script, he's got a hand in the script, and this is a big movie,” McConaughey explained to HitFix. "What I've gotten out of the last two years that's been so rewarding to me is I've been getting these experiences, man, just feeling like I'm in the clay, man, I'm deep in, man, I'm in it," he added.

"So going into a big movie I had a bit of fear, going like, 'Was it so much of a machine that I'm going to still be able to have an experience?' So that's what I'm working on, that I am getting. Because I'm holding on and saying, 'No, I'm still going to have an experience today. I still had an experience on Friday.' I'm serving his story but I'm still having a personal experience. And that was my biggest fear, or biggest trepidation going into it, but I have to say, I'm getting one out of it."
