Roughly four months after Paul Walker's tragic death, filming for 'Fast & Furious 7' recommences and will also take place in Abu Dhabi.
Paul Walker's last ever film will definitely be completed.
'Fast & Furious 7' has finally been given the green light to resume production on March 31st in Atlanta Georgia.
Filming will begin roughly four months after being haltered last November (2013) due to the sudden death of the franchise's co-star Paul Walker, who was fatally injured in a car crash in Valencia, Calif.
The other cast and crewmembers will be shooting the finishing sequences of the film for around six to eight weeks.
The Universal Pictures project will also be taking production international, as it is set to shoot several scenes, this coming April, in Abu Dhabi.
The government of the capital city, who are backed by twofour54 media and The Abu Dhabi Film Commission, released a statement on Wednesday (March 13th) confirming that filming will take place at this location.
Cast members who are expected to make the travel to the United Arab Emirates city are Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson and Chris "Ludacris" Bridges.
Noura Al Kaabi, Chief Executive of twofour54, said: "We look forward to welcoming the stars and crew of Fast & Furious 7 in April. This is a great opportunity to not only generate international exposure for Abu Dhabi, but to also provide young Emiratis with work experience, which could help them to become the region's future filmmakers."
Vin Diesel will reprise his role as 'Dom' when filming in Abu Dhabi
Vin Diesel, who plays one of the key roles in the street racing franchise, took to Facebook to hype that filming is recommencing.
"The transition into that Dom state of mind has always been an interesting one. only this time there is added purpose, a collective goal to make this the best one in the series," he posted on Tuesday. "P.s. The long awaited completion of Seven, begins..."
'Fast 7' was about half way through shooting when Paul Walker tragically died, which forced director James Wan, writer Chris Morgan and Universal to change the script, and now it is believed Walker's character will be 'retired' and not killed off.
