The man was, according to reports in CNN, attacked by the pair who used their fists to assault him. The incident occurred in the early hours on Sunday morning (27th October) at approximately 4.25am. Brown was in the capital hosting a "homecoming party" at a nightclub only four blocks away from where the incident occurred.

It appears the victim, Isaac Adam Parker, attempted to jump into a photograph being taken of Chris Brown and a female fan. According to police reports, Brown turned on Parker saying "I'm not down with that gay sh*t" and "I feel like boxing", before punching the 20-year-old in the face. It was at this moment that the bodyguard intervened and punched Parker in the face before dragging his charge to his tour bus, parked nearby.

Parker was taken to hospital and has been treated for a bruised and swollen face. The police were called and Brown and Hollosy were arrested and held at a police station. They were later transferred to a cell block for processing.

Brown has a history of violence. The incident which first brought his violent temperament to public attention occurred in 2009 when he assaulted his then girlfriend Rihanna. Due to this incident, the singer is currently serving probation in California for a domestic violence felony conviction Rihanna. This recent incident could have exacerbated his legal difficulties as any arrest would be considered a violation of his probation. As a result he could have faced jail time, anything up to four years TMZ reported.

However, Brown managed to maintained impressive probation reports until the past year. He has had two probation violations charged against him in addition to accusations of a hit-and-run incident earlier this year. The reported violations earned Brown thousands of hours of community service.

As TMZ reports, Brown will not be facing the judge as the felony charges against him and his bodyguard have been reduced to a misdemeanour. He was also ordered to take a drugs test but this has been overruled by a Washington judge.
