NBC’s ‘Nightly News’ anchor Brian Williams has been sharing in his daughter Allison’s recent success.At the end of July, he pulled the ultimate embarrassing dad stunt when announcing his daughter’s casting in NBC’s upcoming production of Peter Pan by producing a picture of Allison dressed all in green at the age of three. He also said “Family members confirm she's been rehearsing for this role since the age of three, and they look forward to seeing her fly.”

A few weeks on, the proud father said he e-mailed around members of the family beforehand to see if they would approve of him reporting about Allison on his show.

But he didn’t have to put as much effort in finding the photograph of her dressed as Peter Pan – it had apparently been on display in his family’s Connecticut home for years.

He also said that his daughter hadn’t given him any grief for showing the watching world the picture of her – after all, she did say herself upon the announcement that “I have wanted to play Peter Pan since I was about three years old, so this is a dream come true.”

26 year old Allison has been the star of HBO original comedy series ‘Girls’ since 2012, starring as Marnie Michaels. Back in 2011, she also played the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton in four episodes of the web series ‘Will & Kate: Before Happily Ever After’.
