Anne Hathaway has weighed in to the ongoing conversation in the movie industry about actresses getting roles meant for older female characters. She revealed in a new interview for Glamour UK (on whose October edition she is the cover star) she’s already losing parts to younger actresses at the age of 32.
“I can't complain about it because I benefitted from it,” Hathaway stated. “When I was in my early twenties, parts would be written for women in their fifties and I would get them. And now I'm in my early thirties and I'm like, 'Why did that 24 year old get that part?'”

Kim Kardashian makes a dramatic style move - but who else has recently gone blonde?
Kim Kardashian's debuts her latest fashion move, sporting a head of significantly shorter but freshly dyed blonde locks as she spends quality time with her husband Kanye West in France during Paris Fashion Week. It's a style that's been dividing opinion this week.
Kim Kardashian sports a new style
Kim may have shocked us in skin-tight pink Latex back in February, but the reality star hasn't stopped there. Her latest daring venture has been to bleach her much envied brunette hair - as well as chop half of it off. It'll definitely take some getting used to but we think the curvy star has proved she can just about pull off anything; perhaps she was inspired by her famous mermaid Halloween costume (which people are still talking about) from 2012, where her blonde curls drew many eyes on her.

Brainy blockbuster maestro Christopher Nolan heads into deep space with this epic adventure, which is packed with thoughtful ideas and big emotions even if the plot wobbles badly in the middle. But although it ultimately feels somewhat forced, the film is still a mesmerising exploration of parenthood and survival, bending time and gravity in ways that keep our brains spinning. And the seamless visual effects combine with some wrenching performances to make it unmissable.
It opens in a future America where a desperation for food has overtaken the need for technology and innovation. Which is a problem for Nasa pilot Cooper (Matthew McConaughey), who is now working a massive corn farm that he runs with his father (John Lithgow). Then Cooper and his daughter Murph (Mackenzie Foy) discover a gravitational anomaly that leads them to a secret base run by father and daughter scientists Brand and Amelia (Michael Caine and Anne Hathaway), who are looking for a new home planet for humanity since Earth is dying. So Cooper joins up and heads through a wormhole with Amelia and crew (Wes Bentley and David Gyasi). Meanwhile, Murph (who grows up to be Jessica Chastain) gets involved in the project back on earth, wondering if her dad will ever return home as he promised.
The first act of the story is a beautiful depiction of yearning for discovery, that innate curiosity that drives people to do crazy things in the hopes of pushing the humanity forward (or in this case, saving it). Nolan directs this section beautifully, with sharp editing propelling the story out into space with real energy and passion. But once they begin visiting other planets, there are some extended episodes that feel oddly contrived, including an encounter that leads to unexplained violence, explosions and melodrama. These kinds of things undermine the characters' motivations to the point where the audience just has to take Nolan's word for it and ride it out, even as the underlying ideas begin to lose their weightiness.

Matthew McConaughey says 'Interstellar' is the wildest ride he's ever seen on screen.
Matthew McConaughey has called Christopher Nolan's new sci-fi epic Interstellar "wilder than any other ride" seen on screen. Anticipation for the space-exploration blockbuster has been building for months and now, after reactions from numerous preview screenings began leaking out, things are reaching fever pitch.
McConaughey himself talked up the movie at the Los Angeles premiere, saying on the red-carpet: "It's wilder than any other ride I've seen on film and that's what it is, it's a hell of a ride."
The 31 year-old revealed how she turned up at her 'Interstellar' co-star's surprise birthday party on the wrong day while he was being honoured with the American Cinematheque Award.
Anne Hathaway wanted to get to know her 'Interstellar' co-star Matthew McConaughey better, so when his wife Camila Alves asked her to attend a surprise birthday party for the Oscar winner, she jumped at the chance. But when arriving, it was the 31 year-old actress who was surprised the most.
Hathaway revealed an embarrassing moment when she visited McConaughey's L.A. home
When McConaughey was being honoured with the American Cinematheque Award on Tuesday night, October 21 at L.A.'s Beverly Hilton Hotel, Hathaway paid tribute to him by saying how she became friends with the talented actor while filming the upcoming sci-fi flick.
'Interstellar' is outpacing 'Inception' in pre-sales and should take over $50 million on debut.
We're still three weeks away from the release of Christopher Nolan's shadowy movie Interstellar, but speculation is already hotting up regarding the potential of this big-budget sci-fi epic. The plot remains a mystery - other than the fact that it will include ecological cataclysms and wormholes - and it's that intrigue that is driving the growing publicity campaign.
As Variety notes, Nolan has essentially become a brand in himself - a tag that could previously only be attributed to Spielberg and Scorsese - and Interstellar is tracking to make more than $50 million as word-of-mouth increases. Last year, Gravity opened to $55.8 million and Legendary Pictures have a similar number in sight.

The 31 year-old actress recalled her initial reaction to the wave of 'Hathahate' that arose after she received critical acclaim for her role in Les Misérables.
Even though 2013 was a career defining year for Anne Hathaway, mainly for the numerous awards she received for her role in the musical 'Les Misérables,' it seems the more success and critical acclaim she received, the more haters the actress garnered.
Hathaway spoke about being hated by the public
While speaking to the 'Daring Issue' of November's Harper's Bazaar, which she features on the front cover of, Hathaway finally addressed the overwhelming 'Hathahate' period and recalled the moment she first read an article titled, "Why does everyone hate Anne Hathaway?"
Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi epic is just over a month away from hitting theatres and we really can’t wait.
Oscar winner Matthew Mcconaughey is about to embark on a terrifying mission, to find a new home planet for the earth’s inhabitants before time runs out. Of course the scary prospect of humanity’s fate being in the hands of McConaughey is just the plot for his new movie, Interstellar, but the trailer for this looks so good you could forgive us for getting little over invested.
Matthew McConaughey in Interstellar

Mankind is doomed. Following generations of neglect and a lack of care, the planet Earth is a polluted mess and food supplies have all but run out. Only one hope remains for humanity if it is to survive into its next generation - they must leave Earth behind. Cooper (Matthew Mcconaughey), is a widowed engineer, living in a time where engineers are no longer needed. He also happens to be one of the world's best pilots. He is offered the choice to stay with his children and except the fate of the human race, or captain a mission through a newly discovered wormhole in search of a new, habitable planet which can sustain the prolonged existence of our species. He chooses the latter option, and begins his interstellar travels in search of a new home.
