Billy Bob Thorton has sold the mansion he shared with ex-wife Angelina Jolie for $8 million.

The 57-year-old actor bought the house with Angelina, 37, at the beginning of their two-year marriage in 2000 for $3.75 million and although Billy received $2 million less than the original asking price, he still made a sizeable profit, RadarOnline.com has reported.

The 11,012 square foot Beverly Hills home was formally owned by GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Slash and features nine bedrooms, a tennis court, a spa and a recording studio.

It also has a swimming pool, two-story living room, gym and a library and was built in 1929 in the style of a Spanish mansion.

Since Billy and Angelina's split in 2003, he has been in a relationship with make-up effects artist Connie Angland - with whom he has a daughter, Bella, and resides in California.

Angelina, 37, is engaged to Brad Pitt and the couple have six children together, Maddox, 11, Pax, eight, Zahara, seven, Shiloh, six, and four-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
