The Tomb Raider star, who is a United Nations special envoy for refugees, teamed up with former British Foreign Secretary William Hague to launch the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative (PSVI) in 2012 in a bid to crack down on sexual attacks in war zones.

They stepped up their drive by hosting the Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict last year (14), and they will appear at the House of Lords with Baroness Arminka Helic, Hague's former special adviser, to present a report on their progress to a select committee.

According to Britain's The Sun newspaper, they will also be asked for advice on how to tackle sexual slavery at the hands of militant Islamists and the issue of forced marriage.
