Angelina Jolie On Motherhood, Future Collaboration With Brad Pitt & Wedding Plans

Angelina Jolie has been doing the rounds promoting Maleficent this week but it's not her soon-to-be-released Disney film which has us all talking. The 38-year-old actress has revealed a great deal of personal information including her stance on motherhood in Hollywood and her wedding plans with fiancé Brad Pitt.

Motherhood

Jolie has six children with fiancé Pitt including four adoptive children and a set of twins. The Salt actress, in a recent interview with NY Daily News, described how fortunate she feels to be able to bring her children up in luxury with no financial worries. Jolie said, "I'm not a single mom with two jobs trying to get by every day. I have much more support than most people, most women in this world. And I have the financial means to have a home and health care and food."

Jolie's children are all home schooled so they're able to travel with their parents around the world. Jolie explained how she was lucky to be able to take time off if she felt she needed to spend more time with her family. On the matter she stated, "When I feel I'm doing too much, I do less, if I can. And that's why I'm in a rare position where I don't have to do job after job. I can take time when my family needs it."

As such, Jolie believes, in comparison to the majority of the world who struggle with poverty and lack access to even basic human needs, she is extremely lucky. She commented on other women in her financial and social position who do complain, stating "I actually feel that women in my position, when we have all at our disposal to help us, shouldn't complain. Consider all the people who really struggle and don't have the financial means, don't have the support, and many people are single raising children. That's hard."

Jolie's Future Collaboration With Brad Pitt

Famously, Jolie and Pitt began their relationship whilst filming Mr & Mrs Smith in 2006 and ever since their fans have been hoping the pair will once again collaborate. Earlier this month Jolie attended an event at Kensington Palace for Maleficent and spoke to the Associated Press. On the subject of her collaborating once again with her fiancé, Jolie simply said "We are thinking about it."

Jolie's comment sent rumours flying and it was finally confirmed the pair are considering working on a film written by Jolie. As Deadline reports, the couple are going through the traditional route and Jolie is "in talks" with Pitt to star in the upcoming film. Unfortunately, the film is still in its early stages and we have little other information available to us.

Wedding Plans

Jolie and Pitt have been engaged since April 2012 after being together for seven years. The couple are yet to set a date for their nuptials but Jolie, appearing on GMA, didn't appear overly concerned about remaining unwed.

Jolie confirmed they do not have a date yet but stated their children would definitely have an input in their celebrations. "We don't have a date, and we're not hiding anything, but we really don't know," Jolie said, adding "We talk to the kids about it once in a while, and one of them suggested paintball. And we thought, 'Well, different!'"

Although paintballing may not be on the cards, Jolie spoke of the importance of ensuring their children are involved and enjoy their day. On the matter, the Unbroken director said "You know, I think the important thing is that whatever we do it's that the kids do have a great time, and we all take seriously the love, and the connection between all of us. But also just get silly and do something memorable."

Jolie stars in Disney's Maleficent which is due to be released on 28th May (UK) and 30th May (USA).
