Andy Serkis has reprised his role as late British rocker Ian Dury - he's played secret gigs with THE BLOCKHEADS.
The Lord of the Rings star portrayed Dury in the biopic Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll earlier this year (10) and told at the time how he had rehearsed with the singer's former band to perfect the part.
Now he's revealed he is still good friends with The Blockheads - and occasionally joins them onstage to perform their classic hits.
Serkis tells ShortList magazine, "I still play jazz regularly with The Blockheads. We did one gig at the Kings Head in Crouch End (north London) with the whole band up on stage, and we did a few Ian Dury numbers. That was great fun."
