Amy Winehouse's last public performance before her tragic death on Saturday (23rd July 2011) was captured on camera and is currently circulating the web. The YouTube video sees Winehouse joining her protege and goddaughter Dionne Bromfield on stage at the iTunes Festival last week, reports Yahoo News.
Despite cancelling her entire European tour after a disastrous concert in Serbia, Winehouse delighted fans at the festival in Camden on Wednesday (20th July 2011), dancing around the stage as Bromfield sang 'Mama Said'. Although she was offered the microphone by her goddaughter, Amy refused and urged the young soul singer to continue on her own. The singer, who donned a black Fred Perry polo shirt with grey jeans, laughed and joked with Dionne's band members and appeared in high spirits. News of her passing began circulating on Saturday afternoon (23rd July 2011) after the singer had been found dead at her home in North London. The death is being described as "unexplained" but a post-mortem should reveal the specific cause - a police spokesman has refused to comment on whether drugs were involved.
Amy Winehouse had been working on her third studio album in recent months - some reports suggest the record will be released posthumously.
