Amy Poehler and Nick Kroll have reportedly split.

The 44-year-old comedienne and the 'Kroll Show' star, 37, have decided to call time on their two-year romance after their conflicting schedules put a strain on their relationship.

A source told UsMagazine.com: ''Unfortunately, they just couldn't make the relationship work with their schedules.

''They really tried, but it just wasn't realistic anymore. They were spending more time apart than together.''

The couple first started dating in May 2013 following the breakdown of Amy's marriage to ex-husband Will Arnett, with whom she has sons Archie, six, and Abel, five, in September 2012 after over nine years of marriage.

The rumoured split will no doubt come as a surprise to their friends and family as the blonde stunner had nothing but praise for Nick in her memoir, 'Yes Please' late last year.

She gushed: ''I have a boyfriend who knows how to settle me. He puts his hand on my chest and tells me boring stories.

''On one of our first nights together I woke up apologising for my snoring and he pulled out the two earplugs he had worn to bed so that he could hear what I was saying. It was one of the most romantic gestures I have ever seen.''
