Holly Humberstone - Friendly Fire Music Video

  • 14 November 2021

To coincide with the release of her latest EP, 'The Walls Are Way Too Thin', Holly Humberstone has simultaneously premiered a video for it's final track - 'Friendly Fire'. The 'Vanilla' singer's six track EP includes it's title track as well as her previous singles from this year, 'Haunted House', 'Please Don't Just Leave Yet' and 'Scarlett'.

Holly's latest EP is her second, following on from last year's six track release, 'Falling Asleep At The Wheel'. The 'Drop Dead' artist was this year's runner up in the BBC's Sound Of 2021 list, coming second to rapper Pa Salieu. Arguably Holly has made more of 2021 than Pa Salieu having released new material in April, May, August, September and November. Humberstone has also triumphantly toured America and been a recent guest of Jimmy Fallon, performing her song 'Scarlett' on 'The Tonight Show' in October.

Talking about her U.S tour in a recent interview with Variety magazine Humberstone said, "It was really, really amazing, I’m still kind of floating trying to process what happened in America. I never thought I’d be able to sell out an iconic venue like Bowery or the Roxy so I’m still pinching myself that it happened. I’m having the best time — especially after a year and half of not being able to play these songs live and just being sat at home on my phone, looking at statistics. It’s lovely to be able to see people and see them connect with the music."

The Grantham based artist also recently told GQ about the heartbreak she writes about in her songs, saying, "I actually think, in romantic relationships, I've never had my heart broken. I'm always the heartbreaker, which is kind of a savage vibe from me. I'm not really a relationship type girl, I just seem to get put off really easily or I find spending so much time with one person really draining."

Whether she's the heart-breaker or the heart-broken Holly and her songs continue to resonate as she builds an ever bigger fan base on both sides of the Atlantic.
