Sometimes, the strangest things can happen when you least expect them. For a normal family living in London, this is exactly what happens. Jax (Nadine Marshall) and Mark (Idris Elba) have a loving relationship and a happy life with their son, but working such demanding jobs means that intimate moments are few and far between. When Jax discovers that she is pregnant, something is wrong, as she hasn't slept with her husband (or anyone else) for months, leading to a stunning confrontation. When Jax finally comes face-to-face with the idea of immaculate conception, the prospect dawns that she may, in fact, be carrying the second coming of Christ.

Written and directed by Debbie Tucker Green ('Random'), 'Second Coming' is the director's second feature film. The film was first released at the Toronto International Film Festival in Canada on 7th September 2014, before appearing at the London Film Festival in October of the same year. From there, the film was showcased at the Stockholm International Film Festival on 7th November 2014, and later at the Belfast Film Festival on 18th April 2015. 'Second Coming' is set for a limited release in the UK on 5th June 2015.
