Ella Eyre Won't Write About Ex On New Tracks
By Clive King in Music / Festivals on 10 August 2017
Ella Eyre won't be writing about her ex-boyfriend Rixton's Lewi Morgan in her new music because it was the ''most uninteresting break-up ever''.
Ella Eyre won't be writing about her ex-boyfriend in her new music.
The 23-year-old singer insists she won't be heading in the studio to get over her split from Rixton's Lewi Morgan because it was the ''most uninteresting break-up ever''.
She said: ''I'm friends with all my exes and Lewi is one of them. I'm still in touch with his family and his band is coming back with new music, so I'm checking up on that to see how it's going. The way me and Lewi split up was so mutual, calm and respectful. I'd struggle to write an interesting song about it because it was the most uninteresting break-up ever!''

'Loose Women's Coleen Nolan Confirms Her Son Jake Roche Has Split Up With Jesy Nelson
By Ed Biggs in Lifestyle / Showbiz on 05 December 2016
On Monday's episode of 'Loose Women', panellist Coleen Nolan confirmed her son, the lead singer of Rixton, had called off his engagement to the Little Mix star.
‘Loose Women’ regular Coleen Nolan confirmed the rumours that her son, Jake Roche, and his one-time fiancé Jesy Nelson have indeed split up, but insisted that the process was amicable.
25 year old Jesy, a member of girl-group Little Mix, had started dating Rixton lead singer Jake Roche back in 2014, and had announced their engagement to the world in July the following year. However, after more than 12 months with no news as to when the big day might be, rumours appeared in October this year that the two had parted ways.

On Little Mix’s latest album Glory Days, Jesy’s bandmate Perrie Edwards makes clear references to her split from Zayn Malik and it looks as if Jake has followed in her footsteps and released his own break-up anthem.

Rixton - Let The Road Album Review
By Joe DeAndrea in Music Reviews on 16 March 2015
Superstar manager Scooter Braun typically isn't known for his clients fizzling out, so it came as a pretty big surprise when UK boyband The Wanted decided to call it quits only months after releasing their latest full-length. However, Braun had another act on deck ready to pick up right where The Wanted left off: the UK quartet Rixton. Rixton arguably does everything The Wanted did and more, and their debut record, 'Let the Road', is excellent proof that they won't be going anywhere any time soon.
However, the best parts of 'Let the Road' aren't the fact that the songs are written by established writers - it's that Rixton still manage to have their own identity bleed through every song despite it. Take 'Hotel Ceiling' for instance - the hard hitting ballad penned by Ed Sheeran is still Rixton through and through, even when Sheeran-written songs have the tendency to sound like they came out of his unwanted demo pile.

Pop sensations settled down for interviews as they prepared for their Jingle Ball concert.
As usual, the Y100 Jingle Ball was a pop explosion with some of 2014's biggest chart sensations giving it their all on this year's stage in Miami, Florida. Among which we saw Ariana Grande, Pharrell and Iggy Azalea - but what did they get up to backstage?

'Miami's #1 Hit Music Station' Y100 hosted the perfect pre-Christmas concert on December 21st 2014 at the BB&T Center with this year seeing ultra sultry performances from the likes of Ariana Grande and Jessie J - who looked like serious besties as they hung out backstage, ever since they collaborated with Nicki Minaj on J's number one 'Bang Bang' earlier this year.

Various Artists - The Giver: Music Collection Album Review
By Alex Carson in Music Reviews on 25 September 2014
As someone who's long been a fan of the book, to see 'The Giver' movie finally come to fruition has been quite the nostalgic trip. Headed and ended by OneRepublic and featuring rising stars such as Tori Kelly ('Silent'), Capital Cities ('One Minute More') and other solid up-and-comers in the music industry, 'The Giver: Music Collection' has a perfect mix of superstar power and the flair of still-indie but progressively more mainstream acts to inspire confidence in its pedigree. But is that confidence warranted?
Rixton's 'Whole', oddly enough, sounds more like a OneRepublic song than the actual OneRepublic. The music seems unnecessarily slow to the point of lethargy. However, Rixton give way to album highlight Aloe Blacc's 'Here Today'; the strong vibe of gospel and blues give it a certain dynamism and very inspirational quality. 'Shine My Way' by Sheppard has a lot of the same sound, and its more subdued lyrics carry all the richness that the swinging beat demands. The album departs with two more acoustic style songs - NEEDTOBREATHE's 'Difference' and OneRepublic's closer 'I Lived'. 'Difference' is slow and somber throughout, invoking the same vibe that made 'Children' work, while 'I Lived' picks up the pace around the time it gets to the bridge.

Rixton - Me And My Broken Heart Single Review
By Holly Williams in Music Reviews on 21 July 2014
There's a new boyband on the UK pop scene who have somehow managed to storm single charts with their debut release, 'Me and My Broken Heart'. They are Rixton, featuring singer Jake Roche - the son of Coleen Nolan and Shane Richie - and despite the unsurprising chart success, one can't help but feel this is definitely one of those 'who you know not what you know' sort of deals. It's not surprising, either, to learn that this is the latest act under Justin Bieber's manager Scooter Braun and, thus, is another crass attempt at cloning the likes of One Direction and The Wanted.
Things do take an unexpected turn, however, when the soft guitar line and steady drum rhythm kick in with a funky, almost Motown beat. It's a small relief when you've managed to convince yourself that they're some weird 90s throwback with better hair, but even despite the cool, breathiness of Roche's voice as it settles down for the verse, there's no escaping that dated boyband twang.
