The actress says her bag was taken as she was on stage collecting ‘Sherlock’s’ award.

'Sherlock' actress Amanda Abbington has claimed her purse was stolen during Sunday night’s Emmy Awards in Los Angeles. The actress, who plays Mary Morstan in the BBC One drama alongside husband Martin Freeman, said her purse was taken while she was onstage collecting the show's award for Best Television Film.

On Twitter yesterday Abbington told fans: "Thanks for the lovely tweets re; the Emmy's. So pleased we won! Cool, right? However, we went up to collect the Emmy, did some press, came back to my seat and some bastard had nicked my purse from under my seat. Nice.”

A woman is said to have left red ribbons outside the ‘Sherlock’ star’s home.

Benedict Cumberbatch has reportedly called the police over ‘an obsessed fan’ who is said to have made several trips to the ‘Sherlock’ actor’s house, leaving red ribbons outside. The actor is said to have become concerned over the woman’s behaviour and she has now been issued with an official Police Information Notice (PIN) over harassment.

The Mirror reports that the woman left red ribbons outside Cumberbatch’s home on at least two occasions, leaving one tied to the star’s car and the other fastened to a window of the house. Cumberbatch lives in North London with his wife Sophie Hunter and the couple’s baby son.

Martin Freeman Reports 'Sherlock' Based Death Threats To The Police

Freeman and his partner Amanda Abbington, who both appear in 'Sherlock', reported an online death threat to the police at the weekend.

A fanatic Benedict Cumberbatch devotee has been reported to the police by ‘Sherlock’ co-stars Martin Freeman and Amanda Abbington after directing death threats against them online, claiming that they “giving him [Cumberbatch] a bad name”.

Abbington and Freeman, who appear in the BBC mystery drama together, contacted authorities after the anonymous fan posted a picture of a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire, saying “Shall we start prepping for a possible funeral?”

The anonymous blogger also wrote: “Both Martin Freeman and Amanda Abbington are starting to give Benedict and all his fans a bad name! They seriously just need to shut up and f****** die already!”

Sherlock wrapped up in style as the final episode of the BBC detective drama aired last night and sent shockwaves of excitement throughout fans and critics. It's barely believable that after months of excruciating anticipation, the third and final episode of Steven Moffat's drama has come and gone.


It's Unanimous: The 'Sherlock' Finale Was A Big Hit.

Though the show's 8.8 million viewer average represented a fall from the gradually decreasing levels of the previous two episodes, the drama still; managed to net a sizeable audience with enough glowing reviews to ensure plenty of additional iPlayer views.
