Craig Nicholls Ordered To Stay Away From Mother After Arrest

The Vines frontman Craig Nicholls has been ordered to stay away from his mother after he was arrested for allegedly assaulting her over the weekend (13-14Oct12).

The rocker appeared at Sutherland Local Court in Sydney, Australia on Wednesday (17Oct12) and was bailed until next month (Nov12), while a judge also granted a restraining order requiring him to stay away from mother Noreen, 60, and father Terry, 65.

Nicholls faces five charges, including two counts of domestic assault, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, stalking and resisting arrest.

The star, who suffers from Asperger syndrome, was taken into custody on Saturday (13Oct12) after allegedly punching his mother at his parents' home in Sydney and attempting to run away from officers who arrived at the scene.

Police are said to have used pepper spray to subdue him.

Nicholls is due to see a psychologist on Friday (19Oct12) and he is due back in court on 14 November (12), according to Telegraph.co.uk.
