The Ghosts - Underrated Music Video

Indie-pop 5-piece The Ghosts have released the third single, 'Underrated', to be taken from their debut album 'The End' released through Pocket Records.

The video is a conceptually brilliant and illustrates the song effortlessly. It features a man in a black and white movie going to a meeting at work, where nobody is really taking any notice of what he says (hence why he feels underrated), and unveiling an old-fashioned TV. There follows a bizarre mix-up between worlds where a waitress's face appears on the TV (to their amazement) pointing a remote at another TV in a modern cafe. She bangs on top of the TV with her fist causing an earthquake in the world of the black and white meeting goers which is only stopped when the host of the meeting covers the TV again and is, apparently for the first time, applauded by his peers. The track lacks the humour and happy ending of the video with its particularly negative lyrics and slow drum beats, though one couldn't accuse the tune of being totally downbeat. It certainly suits the rest of the album which is based on various tragedies in the lives of The Ghosts' founders Ian Palmer and Alex Starling.

The quintet have appeared at a handful of UK and Europe music festivals this weekend and have even had the opportunity to support The Vaccines, The Horrors and Frankie And The Heartstrings. They are to set out on their first UK tour this autumn.
