Crybaby's debut single, I Cherish The Heartbreak More Than The Love That I Lost, will be released on March 19th, 2012 through Helium Records. His eponymous debut album will be released on April 9th 2012. Crybaby will be playing two dates at Bristol and London on the 27th and 29th February 2012 respectively.

The video for I Cherish The Heartbreak. was filmed on location inside Bristol Hospital, despite the warnings of the matron working there. Crybaby was eventually thrown out but not before they acquired the footage shown in the video.

Crybaby's real name is Danny Coughlan, named after the 1963 hit song Cry Baby, originally sung by Garnet Mimms and the Enchanters but more famously covered by Janis Joplin and the Full Tilt Boogie Band in 1973. His upcoming album of the same name was recorded at Ashley Manor in Wiltshire and was produced with the help of Mark Frith and Merrick - aka Chris Hughes - who is the former drummer of 80s band Adam and the Ants. Merrick also plays the drums on several songs on Crybaby.
