The Ghosts' debut single, Enough Time, will be released through Pocket Records on January 15th, 2012. It's the lead single from their debut album, The End, which will be out in April 2012.

Singer songwriter and former Ou Est Le Swimming Pool member Alex Starling formed The Ghosts in December 2010 with Ian Palmer (drums); the pair were introduced by mutual friend, The Charlatans' Jon Brookes. The line up was soon complete with Dan Whiffin (guitar) and Alex Sharman (keys). '[Ian and I] got coffee, discussed what we liked and didn't like about music and used that as a starting point,' says Starling. 'Ian is really into 80's synth pop and also bands like MGMT and Empire of the Sun, and I'm a big fan of TV On The Radio and bands that use synths in modern interesting ways, so it was kind of different stuff but there was definitely crossover. I played him a demo and he said he really liked it. He had a strong vision, he wanted to do a new project and I had just come to the end of one, and so we checked out a few studios together and then The Ghosts grew from there.'

Starling wrote the songs that will appear on The End in two months and the album was recorded in a mere two weeks, with the help of producer Tim Bran, who has worked for the likes of The Charlatans, Sir Paul McCartney and La Roux.
