Yorke And Ronson Record Silent Single

  • 18 October 2010

Radiohead rocker Thom Yorke, superproducer Mark Ronson and British Prime Minister David Cameron have teamed up for an unusual new U.K. charity single - which features two minutes of silence.
Yorke, Ronson and Cameron are joining Bryan Ferry, Bob Hoskins and tennis star Andy Murray to support 2 Minute Silence - but none of them will speak or sing on the song.
The track has been tipped for the charts when it goes on sale next month (07Nov10) for Britain's Remembrance Day, which commemorates sacrifices made by members of the armed forces.
A spokesperson for the Royal British Legion says, "It's an indication of how much the show of respect on Remembrance Day means to people."
