Amanda Holden has criticised model Kelly Brook whilst attempting to defend new 'Britain's Got Talent' judge Alesha Dixon. Amanda Holden said that Alesha has a 'brain', suggesting that former judge Brook didn't.

According to the UK's Metro, talking ahead of the first audition, Amanda was asked to compare Dixon and Brook. The 40-year-old presenter said: 'You'll have to talk to Simon about Alesha, he booked her, but I think she's probably got something else - a brain.' Kelly Brook was fired just two days after her stint in 2009. Fellow new judge David Walliams also seemed to dig at Brook saying: 'When Kelly did the show, she asked Ant and Dec what they did on it. I have seen the show, so I haven't made that mistake  - and I've learned which is Ant and which is Dec, so I should be fine.' Simon Cowell has since said that he kept everyone knowing about Alesha joining the panel and that he had got full approval by all the other judges and presenters Ant And Dec.

Earlier this week, Alesha Dixon reportedly said to Metro: 'We can find a real star that hopefully will translate abroad as well, all around the world, not just in the UK.' Dixon had left being a judge on rival show 'Strictly Come Dancing' for this new role.
