I don’t want to talk about Amanda Bynes, you don’t want to talk about Amanda Bynes, but Amanda Bynes is in the news again, so let’s discuss.

Amanda Bynes
Amanda Bynes, in her younger, less murder-ey years.

Earlier in the week, a friend of Bynes leaked an audio recording of the young star fantasizing to kill her parents. Disturbing is too mild of a description for the recording. The recording sees Bynes planning the murders in graphic detail.

The actress, whose parents have taken more of an active interest in her mental health recently, described how her father deserved to be left dead in a ditch somewhere. Bynes’ pal allegedly sent the tapes to TMZ in an effort to help a friend in need. How exactly the leak helps isn’t immediately obvious, but we’re not judging anybody here.

But fret not! Bynes was obviously joking. We know, because she said so herself, in a tweet posted a few hours after the leak.

"By the way - i was obviously joking about hurting my family - i straight up don’t believe in harming a soul,” Bynes wrote, going on to explain further:

“I said what I said in jest & if you don’t understand that then know I’m in therapy to talk about my dad issues and that will solve my concerns with ppl invading my private life.”

"When I said I want @drake to murder my vagina did anyone think I was asking him to actually murder my vagina… I think not,” declared the actress. “So take what I say lightly because I am the nicest girl.”
