Alyssa Milano was left ''heartbroken'' after her breast milk was confiscated by Heathrow Airport staff.
The 42-year-old actress had 10 ounces of her own pre-expressed breast milk taken from her as she passed through security in the London airport because regulations state passengers with a baby or infant are only allowed to take a ''reasonable amount'' through.
Alyssa tweeted: ''@HeathrowAirport just took my pumped breast milk away. 10 ounces. Gone. Not okay. They said they would let the pumped milk through if I had the baby with me. Why would I need to pump if I had the baby with me????
''@HeathrowAirport Why can you test my toiletries to make sure they are safe but you have to throwaway my breast milk? (sic)''
The 'Charmed' actress - who has son Milo, three, and seven-month-old daughter Elizabella - got a response from the airport's official Twitter account, informing her that, ''if you aren't travelling with your baby, milk is subject to the 100ml'' regulation.
Clearly upset by the events, Alyssa later released a statement, asking for the airport to give their policy about breast milk ''thoughtful consideration''.
She wrote: ''Breastfeeding my children has been one of the greatest joys of my life. Every ounce of milk I'm able to produce for my child is nothing short of a miracle and to watch that milk be thrown away without any regard for my baby, was heartbreaking.''
