Congratulations are in order for former ‘Mad Men’ actress Alison Brie and her boyfriend Dave Franco who are now engaged. According to E! the couple have been dating since January of 2012, but like to keep their relationship private.

A rep for Brie confirmed the happy news to E! Online after the 32 year old actress was spotting wearing an engagement ring at a screening for her new film Sleeping With Other People in West Hollywood on Monday.

The couple are intensely private about their relationship and are rarely pictured together despite dating since January 2012. In an interview with Elle Canada back in April 2012 Brie explained why she was so private about her relationship, saying that she didn't wish to get caught up in ‘rumours’.

"It goes against the grain for me to hide anything, but then you read something later and see how wild speculation is," Brie said. "Meeting people you want to spend a significant amount of time with is difficult enough without thinking about who’s watching. I didn’t fall into any of that in high school, though, so why should I be open to it now? Not that people really cared about who I was dating in high school.”

The actress is best known for the role of Trudy Campbell on ‘Mad Men’ and for portraying Annie Edison on the NBC series 'Community'. 30 year old Franco is the younger brother of actor and writer James Franco. He has starred in films such as 21 Jump Street and appeared opposite Zac Efron last year in comedy Neighbors.
