Although we’re certain that Adele will be happy all tucked up at home with her beau Simon Konecki and their new baby boy, there must surely be a little part of her that’s a bit gutted she’s going to be missing the Skyfall premiere in London tomorrow (October 23, 2012)?

The timings just aren’t working in favor of Adele, who recorded the theme tune for this latest Bond movie. A source told The Sun that even the prospect of rubbing shoulders with the royal family won’t tempt Adele away from the baby’s crib for the evening. “Adele doesn’t want to leave her little boy’s side, it’s as simple as that. Right through her pregnancy she’s been practically a shut-in as she wanted to look after herself and the baby. Now he’s here, she can’t bear heading out without him, even to hobnob with royalty.” We’re not sure exactly where Adele is currently holed up but it most probably isn’t at her £7 million mansion because that is currently being renovated. “There’s no way Adele and Simon will be exposing their son to a building site,” a source told the UK newspaper.

Although the timing of the little man’s arrival might have scuppered her chances of going to the movie premiere, insiders reckon that the increased tabloid attention certainly won’t have harmed the chances of her Bond theme rocketing to number one this week. Skyfall is released on Friday (October 26, 2012) and the smart money’s on yet another number one for Adele a couple of days later. If she does manage to scale the charts, it will be a record breaking moment. Believe it or not, no Bond theme has ever made it to become the UK’s number one.
