Adele has already slammed one American presidential candidate, Donald Trump, for his unauthorised use of her songs in his various campaigns, but how would she feel knowing that his rival, democrat Hillary Clinton is also a huge fan of the 'Hello' hitmaker at the moment?

AdeleAdele has a new fan in Hillary Clinton

Clinton, who is running alongside Bernie Sanders in the Democratic Party, opened up about her current music tastes during a radio interview on SiriusXM. Predictably, Adele's name came up when she was asked what sort of tunes she would play if she had her own radio show.

'You would have a lot of women singers like Adele, Sheryl Crow', she said. 'I'm currently into Adele that is my go-to voice. I have such a huge admiration for her skills, her abilities and her personality.'

It may please the British popstar to know that she has a fan in the aspiring first female president, especially since she's already showed her disdain for her ultimate opposition Donald Trump. Earlier this year, Trump drew her attention by using her songs 'Rolling in the Deep' and 'Skyfall' at his political rallies and she was quick to point out that she had not given her permission for his use of them. On the other hand, her spokesperson also made a point of saying that she hadn't permitted ANY political candidate to use her music in their campaigns.

As well as Adele, Clinton reveals that she loves a bit of 'classic rock 'n' roll', the likes of which she grew up on, and she's especially partial to a bit of classical music as well. 'I'll often listen to that while I'm working because it is soothing', she said. 'You're doing a lot of paperwork, you're trying to get through it, you don't have to listen to the lyrics. It really is a way of taking it all in.'
