She’s one of the highest-earning young musicians in the world for a reason – Adele earned over £23,000 every day in the last year, despite not releasing an album or even performing live.

The latest published accounts from her company indicate that the 30 year old singer made £8.6 million in the last 12 months after tax – levelling out at a whopping £23,719 every single day – according to The Sun.

Adele’s two companies which look after album sales and royalties, Melted Stone Ltd and Melted Stone Publishing Ltd, were also doing extremely well, with the former making a net profit of £483,546 and the latter £8,173,994.

Adele has been praised by health experts and campaigners for highlighting the issue of post-partum depression and psychosis in new mothers, after sharing the story of her best friend and godson.

Laura Dockrill, a poet, author, illustrator and short story writer and Adele’s best friend since childhood, was diagnosed with post-partum psychosis some months after giving birth to a baby boy, who is Adele’s godson.

The severe condition, which afflicts one in every 1,000 women (0.1%) who have a baby (according to the Royal College of Psychiatrists) includes symptoms of hallucinations, delusions, mania, low moods, loss of appetite, insomnia, feeling suspicious or paranoid, being confused and generally behaving in a way that is out of character.

On June 8th she performed her first ever UK stadium show at Manchester's Etihad Stadium with a second set the following night, as well as two shows at Dublin's Croke Park on June 15th and 16th and at Wembley Stadium onJune 22nd and 23rd.

Film director Christopher Nolan has admitted that he’s been in talks with the producers of the James Bond series in previous years, and suggested that he could possibly be in line to direct the next movie in the franchise.

The 46 year old director, who is gearing up for his latest released Dunkirk and has previously helmed the likes of Interstellar, Inception and the three Batman movies that featured Christian Bale, revealed in an interview that he “deeply loves” the Bond films and the character, and has spoken to the people behind the Bond franchise.

“I've spoken to the producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson over the years,” he told Playboy. “I deeply love the character, and I'm always excited to see what they do with it.”

Tens of thousands of fans were left heartbroken last weekend when Adele cancelled her last two Wembley gigs, but spare a thought for Canadian superfan Lori Shortall.

The teacher from Newfoundland has, to date, spent a total of £6,000 on tickets to three gigs to see Adele, and flown more than 18,000 miles in the process – but has yet to actually see her play live, as the singer has cancelled on each occasion.

Originally, Lori was meant to attend Adele’s gig in Houston, Texas in 2011 but lost £600 in earnings from her job as well as paying for flights and tickets. Five years later, she attempted to go to another Adele gig in Phoenix, Arizona, booking a 10-day family holiday to coincide with the gig.

She’s one of the richest stars under the age of 30 in the entertainment industry, but Adele is apparently set to miss out on millions of pounds after cancelling the last two London shows of her massive world tour, as the gigs were set to be filmed for a live DVD.

The 29 year old singer has been on the road in support of her most recent album 25 for the last 15 months, playing 121 shows around the world. That had been set to be 123, but the star was forced to cancel her Wembley Stadium performances this Saturday and Sunday because of vocal cord damage.

Ahead of the final stretch of huge gigs that wrap up her massive world tour, Adele has shared a personal note with fans that seems to confirm those rumours that she may never tour again.

The 29 year old singer has been on the road for most of the last 15 months in support of her third album 25. The final gig on the tour – and what might turn out to be Adele’s last one ever – takes place at Wembley Stadium on Sunday (July 2nd).

However, recent rumours have suggested that the star, who has a young son named Angelo at home who is due to start school in September, is strongly considering retiring from the live scene, or at least not performing again for several years. Now, those rumours have been strengthened with a handwritten the note that was shared by a fan Instagram account.

David Bowie has been named as the most popular recording artist of 2016, beating the multi-million selling likes of Adele and Drake, according to the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).

Following the shocking news of the music icon’s death, which broke in early January 2016, the official body governing the music industry in Britain reports that 1.6 million Bowie albums were either bought or streamed by British listeners in the 12 months of last year, more than any other single artist.

The rediscovery of Bowie’s massive back catalogue, combined with his final album Blackstar that was released just two days before his passing, meant that his sales figures were higher than anybody else.

After months of speculation, Adele has finally confirmed that she has indeed married her partner of several year, Simon Konecki.

The British songstress, 28, has achieved record-beating global sales over the last seven years with her songs of heartbreak and broken relationships.

Over the Christmas period, she and Konecki, who share four year old son Angelo, were spotted out and about in Los Angeles wearing what fans took to be gold wedding bands on their fingers. In February, at the 2017 Grammys, she then thanked her “husband” in one of her acceptance speeches, leading many to speculate that she had officially tied the knot with her fiancé.

Adele has hit back at trolls who said she looked like Princess Fiona from Shrek at last month’s Grammy Awards.

At the ceremony Adele won five awards, making her now a 15-time Grammy winner and she also performed an emotional tribute to the late George Michael.

However her success wasn’t enough to stop some online making cruel jokes and claiming her choice of a green Givenchy Couture gown made her look like Shrek’s Princess Fiona, who is voiced by Cameron Diaz in the animated movies.

At Sunday night’s Grammy awards Adele paid an emotional tribute to George Michael, performing his 1996 single ‘Fastlove’.

During her performance Adele was forced to restart the song to make sure she got it perfect, telling the audience, "I can't mess this up for him.”

But originally the awards envisioned a tribute to Michael that would feature other artists, including Beyonce and Rihanna, singing portions of his most famous songs.
