Adam Lambert, the runner-up on the 2009 series of American Idol has been arrested in Helsinki, along with his boyfriend Sauli Koskinen for fighting outside a gay bar. The incident, which was reported on celebrity blogger Perez Hilton's site happened in the early hours of this morning (December 22, 2011) at around 4am local time as the couple's night out at the Finnish gay bar Don't Tell Momma ended with the pair feuding in public.
Lambert rose to fame in 2009 after appearing on Idol, where he performed covers of Michael Jackson 'Black or White', 'The Tracks of My Tears' by The Miracles and Gary Jules 'Mad World'. Since leaving the show as runner-up, Lambert has released two albums and worked with Pharrell Williams. He started dating the Finnish reality TV star Sauli Koskinen in November 2010. This violent outburst with his boyfriend isn't the first time that Lambert has lashed out in public. In September 2010, he became embroiled in a brawl with a paparazzi photographer on a Miami beach. At the time, The Examiner reported that the singer had run towards the photographer in an aggressive manner, though he did not report any injures.
Perez later reported on his blog that the pair had been released from custody at separate police stations but Adam Lambert, currently holidaying in Finland, is yet to make a statement on the matter.
