Henson isn't taking any hate - even the high profile kind.
Remember when 50 Cent had some not-so-nice stuff to say about Empire? Neither did anybody else in the world, until Empire star Taraji P. Henson took time out of her (presumably very busy) day to respond.
Did Henson just school 50 over Twitter?
The Oscar nominee responded to the rapper’s diss of her new Fox series on Twitter earlier this week, after 50 Cent claimed on Instagram that Empire’s marketing materials were very similar to the Starz crime drama. Power is his show, by the way, in case you haven’t been keeping up on your 50 Cent news lately.
“POWER Season 2 is unbelievably good trust me,” he wrote last month in a since-deleted post, according to the New York Daily News. “I have the best writers and show runner.”
As for the infamous diss, Fitty was actually pretty mild-mannered for once.
“I like Terrence Howard and Taraji Henson. I don't like that they would copy the Marketing.”

And as for Taraji’s response... well, if it doesn’t make you chuckle out loud, do you not know joy in your life? Henson is a star on the rise at the moment, so she probably has to stay civil for PR reasons, but you still have to admire her reaction to the whole thing.
“@KiaSoFlawless: @TherealTaraji how do you feel about what 50cent said about you and Terrance Howard?”<~ I pay attention to $'s NOT cents?✌️

Henson and "Empire" co-star Terrence Howard were also asked about 50 Cent’s comments in an interview with The Wrap on Wednesday.
“50 Cent is a comedian,” the actress said. “He loves to push buttons. He’s a funny guy. I never took offense to it.
“If anything, I thought he was trying to jab at him,” she said pointing to her co-star. “He’s jealous of his looks.”
Nice save there.
