Rapper 50 Cent is giving up his 'tweets' so he can focus on writing tracks for his new album.
The In Da Club hitmaker can often be found musing on Twitter.com, where he has more than three million followers, but he's about to take a week off, so he can lay down some new tracks without any microblogging distractions.
Temporarily signing off with a post on the website, he writes, "Ok ladies and gentalmen (sic) I'm writing my new album. I will not be on twitter again till sept 6. This album will be a classic."
