The rapper filed bankruptcy proceedings in July, but he looks to have plenty of cash lying around the house.
50 Cent has taken to Instagram to hit back at those who have been making fun of his recent money problems. The rapper has recently been the butt of many a joke by fellow artist Rick Ross since filling bankruptcy proceedings in July, however three months on 50 doesn't seem too strapped for cash anymore.
The rapper made the comments in a now deleted Instagram post.
50 Cent has an idea as to why ‘Empire’s’ second season ratings have dropped, blaming it on “too much gay stuff.” The rapper has been criticised after sharing a now deleted post on Instagram claiming that viewers were turning off from the show because of gay storylines.
50 Cent has shared his thoughts on why 'Empire’s' ratings have dropped.
According to The Huffington Post, 50 re-grammed another user on the photo sharing site, who had posted, ‘‘There are 3 million less viewers who tuned into last night’s Empire episode!!!! did you watch it? We could not take the extra gay stuff or celebrity stuff last night!!!!’’

The rapper, who filed for bankruptcy a couple of months ago, has posted a brief video showing a nearly-completed house somewhere in Africa.
He might be in the process of filing for bankruptcy in the wake of the massive fine he’s received for posting a sex tape online, but that doesn’t seem to have prevented 50 Cent from going ahead with a few other costly projects, revealing a new house in Africa.
The rapper posted a short video on Instagram on Saturday (September 5th) showing a rather palatial new property at an undisclosed location on the continent, writing in the caption: “My crib is almost finished in AFRICA. I'm gonna have the craziest House warming party ever.”

This sum will be added to the $5 million in damages that Fiddy has already been ordered to pay to Lastonia Leviston, whose sex tape he leaked online seven years ago.
Things don’t look like improving for 50 Cent any time soon. Just a couple of weeks after he filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, he’s now been ordered to pay an extra $2 million in punitive damages to the woman whose sex tape he posted online.
The Associated Press reports that the rapper, real name Curtis Jackson III, will now have to pay a total of $7 million to Lastonia Leviston, the Floridian woman and ex-girlfriend of his rival Rick Ross, after he was found guilty of infringing her right to privacy by posting a sex tape of her without her consent in 2008.
James Renard, Jackson’s attorney, told People magazine in a statement on Friday (July 24th): “Although we appreciate the jury's service, we are disappointed in the result.”

The court case stems from the sex tape he leaked of Lastonia Leviston, a former girlfriend of his rap rival Rick Ross, in 2009.
50 Cent is no longer just the performance name of rapper Curtis Jackson – it may also be his net worth, after reports emerged on Monday that the star has filed for bankruptcy. It comes just three days after a court ordered ‘Fiddy’ to pay $5 million to woman whose sex tape he shared online without her permission.
The Wall Street Journal first reported that Jackson had filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Monday (July 13th), the same day that he was due to disclose a net worth statement to the Manhattan court that had handed down the judgment in order to calculate punitive damages in addition to the $5 million award given for the victim’s distress. However, the initial bankruptcy filing claims that Jackson has in the range of $10-$50 million both in assets and liabilities.
50 Cent has reportedly filed for bankruptcy on Monday (July 13)

Rick Ross was arrested on Wednesday (24th June) on charges of kidnapping and assault but who is Rick Ross? Here are five things you need to know.
Rick Ross has been in the news over the past few days as he was arrested on charges of kidnapping and assault. 39-year-old Ross was arrested in Fayette County, Georgia on Wednesday (24th June) by the U.S. Marshals' Fugitive Task Force. Few details of his alleged crime have been revealed but another man, thought to be his bodyguard, was also arrested on Wednesday and charged with the same crimes.

The ace partnership between filmmaker Paul Feig and actress Melissa McCarthy evolves into something formidable with this raucous action comedy, which simultaneously spoofs the espionage genre and provides some genuine thrills. From ensemble player (Bridesmaids) to costar (The Heat) and now to the star of the show, McCarthy finds a role worthy of her talents, subverting rather than exploiting her distinct physicality.
She plays Susan Cooper, a desk-jockey at the CIA who works with the field agents, guiding them by radio link through their dangerous paces. When star spy Bradley Fine (Jude Law) is taken out of service and all other top agents have their covers blown, the boss (Allison Janney) has little choice but to send the well-trained Susan into the field to take down the villainous arms dealer Rayna (Rose Byrne). With her best pal Nancy (Miranda Hart) as her office-bound helper, Susan gets into a series of disguises and travels to Paris, Rome and then Budapest. And despite the constant attempts of rogue agent Rick Ford (Jason Statham) to "help" her, Susan gets ever closer to Rayna and her gangster buyer Sergio (Bobby Cannavale).
The relatively simple plot is overcrowded with characters and subplots that add absurd layers of humour to the film, almost all of which are genuinely hilarious. Best of all, none of the laughs come at the expense of Susan, a capable, smart, witty woman who's the perfect alter ego for McCarthy (and certainly much more engaging than her obnoxious-slob persona in The Heat or Tammy). She has terrific chemistry with all of her costars, flirting shamelessly with the Bond-like Law, an amusingly swaggering Statham and especially the purringly hysterical Byrne. As always, the great Janney steals every one of her few scenes. Less effective is an extended goofy cameo by Curtis Jackson, aka 50 Cent, who at least shows willing to dive into some ridiculous comedy. There's also another terrific foil in Susan's local contact Aldo, played with leering, opportunistic relish by Peter Sarafinowicz.

The duo were in a relationship throughout 2003 until they went through a bitter break up later that year.
Almost 12 years ago in 2003, Vivica A. Fox began a very passionate relationship with 50 Cent, but the pair famously went their separate ways after a sour break up later that year. However, over a decade later and it seems the 50-year-old actress doesn't hold any sort of grudge to the 39-year-old rapper.

Susan Cooper works as an analyst for the CIA; rarely out where the action is and working entirely from the office, advising some of the organisation's top agents during their most deadly assignments. However, following a serious lapse in judgement at the hands of her partner during a bomb disposal mission, the agency are forced to enlist another member of the team to uncover the location of the nuclear weapon. Deciding now is the time to drop her boring persona and become the super keen spy she always wanted to be, Susan volunteers to go undercover - to much derision from her colleagues who barely know her name let alone her position in the CIA. She's allowed to prove herself on the task though, with no appropriate alternative, but can she show that Susan Cooper is just as deadly as her team?

Henson isn't taking any hate - even the high profile kind.
Remember when 50 Cent had some not-so-nice stuff to say about Empire? Neither did anybody else in the world, until Empire star Taraji P. Henson took time out of her (presumably very busy) day to respond.
Did Henson just school 50 over Twitter?
The Oscar nominee responded to the rapper’s diss of her new Fox series on Twitter earlier this week, after 50 Cent claimed on Instagram that Empire’s marketing materials were very similar to the Starz crime drama. Power is his show, by the way, in case you haven’t been keeping up on your 50 Cent news lately.

Eminem released a project as recently as last year, and 'The Marshall Mathers LP 2' seemed to win back some of the critics of his recent, more aggressive and emotional style. 'ShadyXV' is a 2 disc release, consisting of tracks from Shady Records' talented roster, as well as some of the label's greatest hits, and we even get the demo version of 'Lose Yourself'; a real treat for Em fans and makes for a very interesting listen when comparing it to one of the most successful and important rap songs of the past decade or so. We get new tracks from Slaughterhouse, Yelawolf, D12, Bad Meets Evil and Slim Shady himself; it really does seem that Em has a new found motivation to take Shady Records back to the very top of the rap scene, and 'ShadyXV' serves as evidence that the diverse and talented roster definitely have the potential to do so.
The Shady Records head honcho kicks the album off himself, with the unashamedly rock-infused, self-produced title track. Eminem's frantic and aggressive delivery has divided opinions, but he is undeniably tight on this cut, demonstrating complex rhyme schemes, resulting in a hard-hitting and impressive opener. Em seems to have a reignited enthusiasm for complexity, and we're getting many examples of just how well he can construct lyrics in his newer work. Eminem is also behind the board for the Bad Meets Evil addition to 'ShadyXV', 'Vegas'. Mathers and Royce Da 5'9" both deliver forceful verses, demonstrating their ferocious flows and delivery. The stuttering flow in Em's verse matches the overdriven instrumental, and the consistency of both lengthy verses is impressive. DJ Premier contributes a signature instrumental, with his instantly recognizable timeless boom bap production backing Slaughterhouse on 'Y'all Ready Know'. Joell Ortiz and Joe Budden stand out, but each of the four lyricists definitely step up to the plate. 'Fine Line' is a highlight of the album, with Eminem delivering a passionate and intricate performance, and it's a great touch to shout out The Outsidaz, name checking Young Zee and Pace Won on the third verse. 'Detroit Vs Everybody' has been doing the rounds online for a while now, with an incredible 16 minute long remix featuring some of Detroit's finest spitters also surfacing in the past few days, and the Statik Selektah produced cut closes the album in fantastic fashion.
It's not all good though. Eminem's appearances vary from the aggressive and technical cuts, such as 'Right For Me' and the compilations intro, to the more commercial and inspirational songs he's found huge chart success with recently. 'Guts Over Fear' finds its home here, and 'Die Alone' feels like a re-hash of the same subject matter Em is constantly tackling nowadays. You can't really blame him too much though; he's never going to sound the same as his wild and crazy early releases, and if anything he's showing tremendous growth as an artist, and the confusion evident is not a new concept in the Detroit MC's discography. D12 mark their return with 'Bane', going down the electronic route, and it's not as successful as I hoped when I saw their name on the track-list. It's an unashamedly aggressive track, but ends up being a little forgettable when compared to their older material; '40 Oz', 'Fight Music' and '6 In The Morning' are absolute classics. Hopefully the dark, trap infused sound of 'Bane' isn't the new direction they're going down.

And the winner of the most dedicated method actor award goes to... Jake Gyllenhaal!
Jake Gyllenhaal is a shape shifter. There is no other explanation. We barely recognised him whilst he was filming 'Nightcrawler', with his sunken cheeks and generally gaunt demeanour, but now he's transformed yet again into a sinewy muscle-man for his forthcoming boxing drama 'Southpaw'.
Gyllenhaal looks completely different to usual
He's never exactly been a typecast actor, but it seems Jake Gyllenhaal can literally perform in any role. He can be unnerving ('Donnie Darko'), not to mention dedicated ('Brokeback Mountain') and now it seems he can manipulate his body in a matter of months. He lost thirty pounds to play the creepy, morally corrupt crime journalist Lou Bloom in Dan Gilroy's latest movie 'Nightcrawler', and now he's picked up his calorie intake and bulked up immensely to play a middle weight boxer in Antoine Fuqua's 'Southpaw'. We only wish we had that much self-discipline!

Radio DJ joins in the jibes about the boxer's ability to read
It seems that the brutal teasing of boxing champion floyd mayweather Jr and his reading ability is not about to stop after he was tormented live on air during an Power 105 radio show by host DJ Charlmagne Tha God on Friday 22 August. In this second attack on Mayweather’s literacy in a week, the first from rapper 50 Cent, the American DJ played a recording of Mayweather, 37, struggling to read a promo which was due to be played over the air.

50 Cent just changed the rules.
So 50 Cent was the latest to be tagged in the viral Ice Bucket challenge in aid of ALS disease. Instead of straight up wasting a bucket of ice water in the California drought, however, Fitty chose to get a little more creative. And being him, he also stirred up some old beef in the process. Basically, 50’s video is him challenging floyd mayweather.
