Zoe Saldana has more male than female friends.

The 34-year-old actress loved being part of the almost completely male cast of 'Star Trek Into Darkness' because she is more comfortable with men.

She said: ''It's a very accurate reflection of how I am in my own life. I have more male than female friends.''

Zoe also revealed she and co-stars Zachary Quinto and Chris Pine kept in touch between 2009's 'Star Trek' and its sequel through chain emails.

She told Us Weekly magazine: '''We stay in touch through chain emails, we all joke and congratulate each other on personal and professional successes. We definitely make an effort to stay friends and get together for dinners.''

The 'Avatar' actress recently admitted she would be open to a relationship with another woman.

Speaking about her romance with actors, she revealed: ''Been there, done that, got the T-shirt. [I might] end up with a woman raising my children. That's how androgynous I am.''

The actress also revealed she is a person who is certain of her own mind and once she has made a decision she thinks is best for her she will stick to it.

She said: ''If I have something good in front of me, it doesn't matter if it's a person or a pair of shoes, I'm not going to test something else. It's insecure and it's immature.''
