Zoe Saldana strongly stands by her recent admission that she is open to having a relationship with a woman but claims she has never been in a same sex relationship to date.
Zoe Saldana admits she has never dated a woman.
But the 'Star Trek Into Darkness' star - who split from 'Silver Linings Playbook' actor Bradley Cooper earlier this year - has no regrets about recently revealing that she can imagine herself in a same sex relationship and would even be prepared to start a family with the right girl.
According to UsMagazine.com, she told reporters at the Hollywood premiere of the new sci-fi movie on Tuesday night (14.05.13): ''It wasn't a generalisation. It was a statement that I strongly stand by.
''As of today, I've been attracted to the male species but if one day I wake up and I want to be with a woman, I will do that because it is my life and therefore it is my decision.''
Zoe's comments follow a recent interview in which the 34-year-old beauty said she would never date an actor again.
She said: ''Been there, done that, got the T-shirt. [I might] end up with a woman raising my children. That's how androgynous I am.''
Asked if she had ever been in a relationship with a woman before, the actress previously gave an ambiguous response, saying: ''Promise me one thing: You're going to ask this question [in the article]--- if you choose to, just put three dots as my response. That's it.''
