Zoe Saldana

Zoe Saldana has teased 'The Avengers' franchise will get another installment featuring the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' characters.

The 38-year-old actress is currently promoting the latest fantasy film 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2', which sees her reprise the role of Gamora in the Marvel movie, and whilst she has been drawing more attention to the latest movie she has also let it slip the cast will join forces with 'The Avengers' team on a movie ''later this year''.

Zoe Saldana Thinks It Will Be Difficult For Avengers: Infinity War Cast To Meet

Zoe Saldana

Zoe Saldana believes it will be difficult for the entire cast of 'Avengers: Infinity War' to meet one another on set.

The 38-year-old actress plays the role of Gamora in the movie, and she thinks where the forthcoming movie features a ''huge cast'' and the plots are ''big and dense'' it will be difficult for everyone involved in the production to get to know everyone.

Speaking about the latest installment, which is set for release next year, told Balance magazine: ''So far, because it's such a huge cast and the plots are so big and dense, I don't think that a lot of characters are going to get the opportunity to meet.''

'Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2' Is A Family Affair For These Heroes

Chris Pratt Zoe Saldana

Once again the fate of the galaxy is in the hands of a wise-cracking human male, a few aliens, a racoon and a tree. And if the new trailer for 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' is anything to go by, this time it's all about family.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2''Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' is all about family

So the first film brought together a motley crew of characters who band together each with their own goal in mind, and the intention of going solo once their mission is over. But by the time they've saved the galaxy - and, indeed, saved each other - it seems their newly formed bond is now easily broken.

Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 Super Bowl Trailer

It's been two months since the Guardians of the Galaxy defeated the evil Ronan, and their prize is freedom and a clean criminal record. Finally. These guys are truly inseparable now; Baby Groot's (Vin Diesel) rebirth has meant that he has a lot of growing up to do and is relying on Rocket (Bradley Cooper) to keep him on the straight and narrow (not that he's great with kids or anything), Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista) hasn't changed a bit and Peter Quill (Chris Pratt), who is still using the name Star Lord, has started to develop seriously cuddly feelings towards the feisty Gamora (Zoe Saldana). Their latest mission is to track down Quill's alien father, but they are not alone. Joining them on their new galactic journey is Gamora's changeable sister Nebula (Karen Gillan), Quill's (kind of) adoptive father Yondu Udonta (Michael Rooker) and antennaed newcomer Mantis (Pom Klementieff).

Live By Night Review

Good

Ben Affleck launched his directing career 10 years ago with his film of Dennis Lehane's novel Gone Baby Gone, and he now returns to the author to adapt this Prohibition-era gangster drama. It's a big, beefy story with colourful characters and a snaky, expansive plot. And it's beautifully assembled by a skilled cast and crew. Even so, the film never quite generates quite enough energy to engage properly with the audience.

In 1927 Boston, Joe (Affleck) is a war veteran who has turned to crime to survive. But problems arise when he launches a torrid affair with the moll (Sienna Miller) of the Irish mob boss (Robert Glenister). With his life in danger, he turns to the rival Italian mafioso (Remo Girone) for a job, and is sent to Tampa to run their rum-smuggling operation. Working with his pal Dion (Chris Messina), Joe makes a success of a string of speak-easy bars and finds love with a the sister (Zoe Saldana) of a Cuban gangster. Then as he plans to open a huge casino, his gentlemanly agreement with the local police chief (Chris Cooper) is threatened. And it doesn't help that the boss in Boston begins to meddle.

Everything is assembled with a sumptuous sense of style, from the cool cars to the epic suits and hats. The film looks gorgeous, shot with muted colours that echo the subdued emotions of people who never quite say what they think. Of course, this creates a big problem, because it leaves Affleck's Joe looking like a blank slate, intriguing to watch but impossible to sympathise with. Nothing feels properly developed, with romances that seem to exist for no real reason and business relationships that appear to be based on some sort of unexplained subterfuge. The most riveting element of the story is Joe's clash with the KKK, a powerfully bull-headed group that refuses to play by the usual mob rules.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Trailer

The Guardians return two months after their epic battle against Ronan with their criminal records erased and a feeling of peace with the knowledge that the highly destructive Infinity Stone is in the hands of Nova Corps. Groot is doing his best to grow up, but he has a lot to learn now that he has been reborn as Baby Groot and that's something that is a permanent frustration for his partner in crime Rocket. Meanwhile, Drax is still hopeless when it comes to sensitivity or discretion, making things very awkward for Peter Quill most of the time because he just can't keep his mouth shut about Quill's feelings for Gamora. This ragtag team have more serious things to deal with howevever; Quill has learned that he is actually only half-human, and his alien father of unknown origin resides somewhere in the cosmos.

The film is already being tipped for an Oscar nod and with Affleck winning Best Producer and Best Film in 2012 for Argo it's understandable why.

Joe Coughlin was born and raised in a good family, his father was the police captain and they were a respected family in the neighbourhood. Joe was the dark horse and fell in with the wrong crowd from an influential age. It was 1920's and Joe and the rest of the Coughlin family lived in the thriving city of Boston. Joe constantly seemed to be pulling in a different direction to that of his father and mixed with some of the town's most feared bosses responsible for any number of crimes from running alcohol to robbery.

Caught in the middle of a war between mob bosses, Joe ends up ripping off the wrong guy in more than one way as he also steals his woman. Everything appears to be going for Joe and his small gang but their next heist is a chance too far and sees Joe being put in prison for robbery. Once again, Joe finds himself falling in with another powerful boss who offers him protection in prison - but at a cost.

With his eventual release, Joe moves to Florida to begin over seeing a rum smuggling operation but as Joe finds love he begins to realise that there's more to life than working on someone else's terms but perhaps he's too deeply connected to ever be able to give up the life he's made for himself.

Star Trek Beyond Review

Excellent

This is where the Star Trek franchise officially shifts from thoughtful drama into thunderous action. Fast & Furious director Justin Lin brings a kinetic energy to this third chapter in the rebooted space saga, leaping between chases and battles to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. Combined with constant witty interaction, the film is massively entertaining, even if the plot ultimately feels a bit thin.

It's been three years since the crew of the Enterprise started their five-year mission, and they're in need of a break. So they head to the nearest spaceport for some down-time, which is soon interrupted when Captain Kirk (Chris Pine) and his team (Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg, John Cho and Anton Yelchin) are called to travel through a dangerous nebula to rescue a kidnapped crew from a villainous thug called Krall (Idris Elba). On arrival, the Enterprise is overwhelmed by Krall's bee-like military swarm. Stranded on a strange planet, the crew teams up with Jaylah (Sofia Boutella), a feisty survivor of one of Krall's earlier attacks. And as they realise the extent of Krall's evil plan, they're not sure that they can stop him.

The unstoppable wave of aliens constantly bombarding the ship means that the crew must accept defeat and flee to an unknown planet. Given the crew were deep into a five year mission, their location to the rest of the Federation is unknown and a rescue mission is going to be far from easy.

16 Times Actors Excelled As Onscreen Musical Legends

Zoe Saldana Michael Shannon Brian Wilson Chadwick Boseman Joaquin Phoenix

We love a good biopic about a musical legend and with a new movie about Nina Simone coming soon starring Zoe Saldana, let's reflect on some of the best incarnations of famous musicians. Of course, not all of them were thoroughly well-received by their subjects' family members or even the subjects themselves, but others are still mind-bogglingly accurate.

Not all of these movies were released theatrically, and some feature more than actor in a musical role, but these are a few of the most gripping musical biopics that have ever hit our screens:

'The Amazing Nina Simone' Director Slams New Biopic For Script And Zoe Saldana Casting

Zoe Saldana Nina Simone

The controversy surrounding the casting of Zoe Saldana as Nina Simone in an upcoming biopic rages on, with the director of a previous documentary about the singer reacting to the distributor’s recent defence of the movie, saying that “not every actor can play every role”.

Jeff L. Lieberman, who directed 2015 documentary The Amazing Nina Simone, wrote a guest column for The Hollywood Reporter and criticised not just the casting of Saldana, but also the tone and content of the script as “ugly and inaccurate”.

Nina, set for release in the US on April 22nd, has come under heavy fire from fans of the legendary singer, as the movie’s producers appear to have used prosthetics and makeup to make 37 year old Saldana more closely resemble Simone. Lieberman added his voice to this, saying the decision to do so was tone-deaf of the “horrible history of this type of portrayal”.

The Nina Simone Estate Lash Out Over Zoe Saldana's 'Blackface'

Nina Simone Zoe Saldana

If there's one thing that never needs to rear its head in Hollywood again, it's blackface. But it seems that no-one told the crew of the new Nina Simone biopic 'Nina', because that's reportedly what they've employed for the lighter skinned leading lady Zoe Saldana.

Zoe SaldanaZoe Saldana divides opinion over 'Nina' casting

The first poster of the new movie clearly shows the half-Dominican half-Puerto Rican actress with a much darker skintone than usual, not to mention a prosthetic nose, for her role as African-American jazz singer and civil rights activist Nina Simone. And while Saldana may well have been the best casting choice as an actress, the estate of Simone have lashed out at her appearance being, well, all wrong.

Uneventful Box Office Maintains Summer Momentum

Chris Pratt Zoe Saldana Arnold Schwarzenegger Sylvester Stallone Wesley Snipes Jet Li Jeff Bridges

Not much to report from the box office after this week – despite all its manpower, Expendables 3 just couldn’t outgun previous chart toppers Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Guardians of the Galaxy and ended up fourth in a line of new releases and return champions. The Turtles continued their reign with a respectable $28,4 million on their second outing according to Rentrak (via The Huffington Post).

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Check out the guns on that turtle.

Guardians trailed only slightly behind with $24,7 million. In a slight disappointment for Marvel, the superhero space opera lost its lead in just the second week to the CGI-heavy TMNT flick. Even so, on its third week, GotG has reached an impressive cume of $222 million for distributor Walt Disney. Coupled with TMNT’s earnings this should enough to restore some faith in the 2014 summer box office from studios. For comparison, August so far marks a 14% increase in profits since last year, which of course concerns the average moviegoer roughly 0%.

"Guardians" May Have Saved The Galaxy, But They Can't Hold On To The Box Office

Chris Pratt Zoe Saldana Megan Fox Helen Mirren

So here’s some news: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles just breezed past Guardians of the Galaxy to the top of the box office. Yes, you can go back and read that again. The new addition to the TMNT franchise has taken a Turtle-worthy beating in reviews over the past week, but that didn’t stop it from beating the critically and fan-acclaimed Guardians, after the Marvel flick has spent just one week on top.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Why though?

The new and improved (well, new anyway) Turtles raked in $65 million on its first weekend, while Guardians checked in at just $41,5. Unfortunately, this doesn’t even top the market analysts’ predictions for TMNT, which largely underestimated the potential of grown-up Ninja Turtles fans, predicting a slow start with around $45 million. According to USA Today says that 55% of moviegoers were 25 or older, a surprisingly mature demographic. Not so surprisingly, 61% of the audience was male, Paramount says. 'The film obviously had greater-than-expected appeal to nostalgic parents," says Rentrak's Paul Dergarabedian. At this point, we won’t add the obligatory “No ----, Sherlock” comment, but feel free to do it in your mind.

According to the New York Daily News’ David Hinkley, extending the two-hour film into a four episode mini-series serves to dilute the tension, instead of extending it. “Despite the efforts of a good cast, inflating “Rosemary’s Baby” into a miniseries doesn’t give the classic 1968 movie the kind of fresh life its producers no doubt envisioned,” Hinkley writes. Nevertheless, according to him, the miniseries might be good enough for audiences, who never got to see the 1968 original.

'Rosemary's Baby': Critics React To Zoe Saldana's Chilling TV Retake

Zoe Saldana Patrick J. Adams Jason Isaacs Carole Bouquet

The first reviews have been filed for NBC's brand new horror miniseries, Rosemary's Baby, which is inspired by the 1968 Roman Polanski movie of the same name. Zoe Saldana and Patrick J. Adams take the lead in director Agnieszka Holland's modern retelling of the chilling story. Holland's vision takes novelist Ira Levin's tale from New York to Paris but keeps the same basic plot and characters.

First off: this isn’t your average Marvel superhero movie featuring traditional all-American saviours clad in intricately designed suits. These guys are misfits, and the story adds levity to the well-trodden genre almost exclusively walked by Marvel themselves.

The First Teaser Trailer Has Been Released For Upcoming Marvel Action Movie, 'Guardians Of The Galaxy.'

There has been a great deal of chatter on the internet regarding the potential success of Guardians of the Galaxy and whether it'll be Marvel's first flop movie. The concern partly stems from the notion that an entirely new host of characters are being introduced all at once without any precursors in other movies. Some say that GOTG will not do as well as Marvel's most successful film, The Avengers, because the characters have not had the individual movie back-stories like the Avengers did.

'Out Of The Furnace' Is Tough Watch, But Worth The Effort - Reviews Roundup

Christian Bale Casey Affleck Zoe Saldana Woody Harrelson Scott Cooper

Out of the Furnace, a story of working class turmoil and frustration, has critics singing its praises so far. That’s not unexpected – starring Christian Bale and Casey Affleck, the movie boasts plenty of talent. Zoe Saldana, Woody Harrelson, Willem Defoe, Forest Whitaker and Sam Shepard all give their best in Out of the Furnace, which tells the story of Russell Baze (Christian Bale) taking justice into his own hands after the disappearance of his younger brother Rodney (Affleck). It’s set to the background of economic decline and social struggle, making this a film about the dark, often ignored side of the American dream.

Christian Bale, Out of the Furnace
Bale's steady and nuanced performance has impressed the critics.

The LA Times’ Betsey Shakey is impressed both with the “lean script,” which “gives a face to the all too familiar struggle” as well as the strong performances of the all-star cast. “Bale and Affleck are as nuanced as Harrelson is unhinged,” the review notes “It is among the finest work done by all three.”

Christian Bale, Out Of Gotham And 'Out Of The Furnace' [Trailer + Pictures]

Christian Bale Casey Affleck Woody Harrelson Zoe Saldana

Christian Bale doesn’t stop for long; before he’d announced his decision to step down as Gotham City’s savior, the actor was working his way towards another type of hero. This time, he’s a working class hero without a fancy costume as Russell Baze – a steel worker forced to go in search for his ex-soldier brother who falls in with a criminal gang, headed by Curtis DeGoat (Woody Harrelson).

An incredible cast of Academy Awards winners and nominees sees Bale and Harrelson joined by Casey Affleck, Forest Whitaker, Willem Dafoe, Zoe Saldana and Sam Shepard. It’s good to see Bale back in a more human role, despite his best efforts to attribute that aspect to Batman in the popular Dark Knight trilogy.

Glenn Close To Play Top Cop In Marvel's 'Guardians Of The Galaxy'

Glenn Close James Gunn Chris Pratt Zoe Saldana Lee Pace Michael Rooker John C Reilly Joseph Gordon-Levitt Joel Edgerton Jack Huston Jim Sturgess Eddie Redmayne Samuel L Jackson Anton Yelchin Frank Langella

Well this is a surprising casting, though one that sort of makes a ton of sense. According to the Deadline.com, Marvel Studios has landed Oscar winning actress Glenn Close to play a major new role in its latest franchise, Guardians of the Galaxy. The actress will reportedly play a leadership role in Nova Corp, the intergalactic space control.

The new James Gunn-directed movie goes into production next month, so Marvel have left it late to cast what is essentially a major role. The movie already boasts a pretty decent looking cast including Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker and John C. Reilly. Pratt landed the lead role following a search that included Marvel looking at Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Joel Edgerton, Jack Huston, Jim Sturgess and Eddie Redmayne

Sources tell Deadline that Close's role will be the closest thing to the one that Samuel L. Jackson plays in The Avengers, though perhaps with more of an edge. Close has proven she can play the hardnosed character in the likes of Damages, Fatal Attraction and, err, 101 Dalmatians and we see her being a real hit in Guardians.

"It's Who I Am" - Zoe Saldana On Her Weight (115 Pounds), Body And Sexuality

Zoe Saldana

Zoe Saldana bore all for Allure magazine recently – her body, her weight, her fluid take on sexuality and more. The spread in Allure definitely shows off the Star Trek Into Darkness actress’s thin frame, but she has even attached a number to her figure: “115 pounds of grit and heartache,” as the cover boldly proclaims. After the magazine hit the stands, Saldana talked to Savannah Guthrie on the Today show about the choice to reveal her weight: "I think it would have been wrong if they were lying about my weight. This is how much I weigh. It's something I can't control. It's who am. I've always been of a very thin frame. I was a ballet dancer. So they wanted to do that. I don't think it was to make an issue of my weight. I think it was to talk about that for a lightweight person I seem to be really strong minded."

It’s hard to see the correlation (or lack thereof) between the actress’s weight and her will or see how the number is relevant anyway. But if the title doesn’t get you to read it, the contents of the article are definitely more interesting – and we’re not even talking about the almost nude photoshoot. Saldana exposed herself in more ways than one during the Allure interview, as she also talked about her romantic preferences: “[I might] end up with a woman raising my children,” she confessed to the magazine. “That’s how androgynous I am.”

The actress later clarified her answer to Guthrie and Today viewers: "As of now I've been attracted to the male species. I don't know if that will continue but if one day I wake up and feel differently about who I find attractive I wil do that and I will be supported and loved by those that support and love me."

Zoe Saldana Dons Futuristic Looking Dress For "Star Trek Into Darkness" Premiere

Zoe Saldana Chris Pine Benedict Cumberbatch

The crew of Enterprise all looked flawless last night on the red carpet of the Star Trek Into Darkness premiere. Zoe Saldana, who reprised her role as Nyota Uhura from J J Abrams’s 2009 film, graced the premiere in a futuristic looking black and white gown. Unfortunately, the breezy fabric meant she had a couple of brushes with a potential wardrobe malfunction, but at least she looked fabulous throughout. Her co-stars, Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto got decked out in classic ensembles in grey and blue. Newcomer to the series Alice Eve, on the other hand, decided to go with a strapless suede Ermano Servino number and she did not go wrong, looking perfectly polished throughout the night.

The actress looked radiant as she posed for pictures on the night of the premiere.

Star Trek Into Darkness is the second film in the series, reimagined by JJ Abrams and it is set to hit theatres May 9th. It follows the exploits of Kirk, Spock and the rest of the Enterprise crew, as they on a mission to halt an unstoppable force of terror from within Starfleet- said force is being played by Benedict Cumberbatch in the upcoming film. So while all we have to at this point are photos from the premiere, there is certainly a lot to look forward to in this film. Be excited. Be very excited. And maybe check out the Star Trek Into Darkness trailer below.

“I Wanted Her To Kick A**” – Zoe Saldana On Her Stark Trek Into Darkness Role

Zoe Saldana

If you’re not a Star Trek fan, you might be wondering what the hell it is that keeps those that are going back to the franchise, obsessively, time after time. Well, we reckon that Zoe Saldana might just have something to do with it. Zoe plays the role of Uhura, who is placed in a bit of a dilemma in the latest movie, Star Trek Into Darkness. “Do I have what it takes to sacrifice my life, for my ship,” is how Saldana describes that dilemma, in an interview with Perez Hilton.

Zoe describes the changes in the characters between the 2009 Star Trek movie and JJ Abrams’ latest venture into space. “You’re seeing the shift of kids to adults,” she explains “and taking on bigger responsibilities and accepting the path they each have chosen.” In the interview, she goes to on to reveal her approach to the character. “I wanted her to kick ass,” she says, plainly and simply. “I just wanted her to be a little more physical… I had such a wonderful time working with JJ and the cast and the crew.

So far, the reviews for the new Star Trek movie are looking promising. With a solid 89% on Rotten Tomatoes, it might not be anything ground-breaking from Abrams, but with Saldana on board, there’s enough to keep everyone happy right?

Zoe Saldana In Talks For Marvel Film 'Guardians Of The Galaxy'

Zoe Saldana

Zoe Saldana could well be on the way to snagging herself a role in a major Marvel Studios film, with the actress reportedly in talks with the comic giants over the female lead in their forthcoming movie Guardians Of The Galaxy.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Saldana would play Gamora, the green-skinned humanoid who is the last of a species that was exterminated by a race known as the Badoon. Thankfully, she also happens to be a skilled assassin, so she’s likely to have a handy chance against the Badoon. Well of course she would, otherwise she wouldn’t be the sole survivor of her race. Chris Pratt has already been confirmed as the Star-Lord, with Dave Bautista also on board to portray Drax The Destroyer. The role is a typical all-action one for Bautista, who made his name as a professional wrestler in the WWE, wrestling under the name Batista and ascending to the very heights of the business.

According to the same report, the superhero group also includes Groot, a giant tree-man, and Rocket Raccoon, a genetically engineered animal with a knack for guns and explosives. Bet they have plenty to talk about at parties at any rate. James Gunn is directing the movie, which will likely being production in June, with a release date set by Disney for Aug. 1, 2014.

Bradley Cooper Is A Single Man After He And Zoe Saldana Part Ways

Bradley Cooper Zoe Saldana

For the second time, Bradley Cooper and Zoe Saldana have decided to call it quits. And this time, it looks like The Hangover actor and the Avatar Star might be ending it permanently.

According to The Sun, the split is down to Cooper's schedule; he has to travel around the world promoting his new film, Silver Linings Playbook, and that's interfered with the couples plans. "Zoe had planned to spend the holidays with Bradley and his family in Europe," a source explained. "They all were going to Paris, but things didn't work out between them." Bradley - who was crowned People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive in 2011 - first dated Avatar actress Zoe at the beginning of 2012 when they filmed The Words together. Their first stint only latest 3 months, before they broke up, with Zoe's camp explaining it wasn't that serious. Subsequent relationships with Hollywood stars such as Scarlett Johansson ensued for Cooper, but the pair were reunited in September. And this time, it lasted 4 months before they broke it off.

It appears as though Saldana isn't too upset about the split, as she was seen living it up for New Years Eve in Miami, partying at The James Royal Palm hotel in South Beach in a green leather dress.

As the year winds down, critics are making lists and checking them twice to decide which filmmakers have been naughty or nice. Top 10s are appearing everywhere, along with awards and nominations and even some worst of the year lists. And most film fans are anxiously awaiting the emergence of a front-runner in the Oscar race.

So far the love has been spread around between year-end releases like Steven Spielberg's Lincoln, Kathryn Bigelow's Zero Dark Thirty and Ang Lee's Life of Pi, all of which earned key nominations from the Golden Globes last week and the London Critics' Circle Film Awards this week. Perhaps not quite so awards-worthy is the new Tom Cruise action romp Jack Reacher, which opens on Christmas.

Drumline Review

Good

It's a rare treat when a movie that looks, from its synopsis and previews, to be formulaic tripe turns out to be fresh, spirited and truly entertaining. "Drumline" is just such a movie.

Built on the chassis of a sports-underdog plot, this energetic, hip, feel-good flick stars wiry, charismatic newcomer Nick Cannon as Devon, a cocky freshman marching band drummer from Harlem who arrives at Atlanta A&T expecting to become the campus king of sticks and snares without having to pay his dues.

The kid is a spectacular drummer, as he proves during an early audition scene. He flawlessly, boldly rat-a-tat-tats his way through the robust piece the bandleader (Orlando Jones) expected him to play, then adds a little solo on the end just to show off. It isn't long before he's butting heads with the drill-sergeant-like upperclassman who leads the drumline, and that guy's not about to let some snot-nosed hot shot treat his section like a back-up band for showboating solos.

Crossroads Review

OK

Freshly graduated from jail bait status, Britney Spears wastes no time getting down to her skivvies for her acting debut in the coming-of-age road movie "Crossroads."

After a prologue in which three little girls bury a box of mementos and pledge to dig it up the night of their high school graduation, the film cuts to eight years later when one of those girls has grown up into Lucy (Spears), who is introduced bouncing around her room, lip-syncing to Madonna songs in her two-sizes-too-small underwear.

Later she appears in an even teeny-weenier pink bra and panties -- then in a towel, then in a wet dress, a bikini and several other low-cut and high-cut outfits. Perhaps this is a concession to the all the reluctant teenage boyfriends that will get dragged to this picture by their Britney-loving girlfriends.
