File Photos Model-turned-actress Angie Everhart is battling cancer. The 43 year old, who was once engaged to actor Joe Pesci, has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer and will undergo surgery on Tuesday (14May13). Everhart's publicist tells U.S. news show Extra, "Word has been trickling out about supermodel/actress Angie Everhart's health. She wants to set the record straight by letting everyone know that it is true that she has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer, however, the prognosis is very good. "She will undergo surgery tomorrow and expects to be back to work and to mommy duties in a few weeks. "The most important reason she is revealing this information is to encourage people to learn about cancer prevention, its signs and treatment immediately." The Blade star, who was convicted in 2008 for failing to file tax returns, lost an appeal for a retrial in 2010 and began serving his three-year punishment at the minimum security McKean Federal Correctional Institution in Pennsylvania in December that year. However, TMZ.com reports he was freed from his jail cell on Tuesday (02Apr13) and was transferred to the New York Community Corrections Office, where he met with representatives supervising his home confinement. He must now remain under house arrest until 19 July (13), when his sentence will officially end. Snipes, 50, has always maintained his innocence and insists he was duped by tax advisors. Josh Brolin and Diane Lane split Hollywood stars Josh Brolin and Diane Lane are heading for divorce. The actors, who wed in August, 2004, quietly parted ways late last year (12). Representatives for the couple have confirmed the sad news to UsMagazine.com, simply stating, "Diane Lane and Josh Brolin have decided to end their marriage." They were last pictured together in December (12) at the Los Angeles premiere of The Guilt Trip, which starred Brolin's stepmum, Barbra Streisand. It will be the second failed union for both actors - Lane split from her first husband Christopher Lambert in 1994, the same year that Brolin broke up with actress Alice Adair, the mother of his two children Trevor, 24, and Eden, 18. Lane has a 20-year-old daughter from her first marriage. The Ides of March star, who quietly tied the knot with Bell last October (12), is pregnant and due to give birth later this year (13). A representative for the beauty tells UsMagazine.com, "The couple is thrilled." The news comes as a surprise to fans - last November (12) Wood shot down rumours she was set to become a mum after she was photographed tenderly touching her stomach, while wearing a baggy top. She wrote in a post on Twitter.com, "Sorry to disappoint. But no baby on the way here." (MC/US/KL) ** Jamie Bell at the New York premiere of 'The Adventures of Tintin' at the Ziegfeld Theatre.
