We all know Stephen Hawking is a genius who can give us answers on some of the universe’s most mind-boggling questions. So what better person is there to ask about the most troubling and puzzling question of recent times, what is the cosmological effect of Zayn leaving One Direction?

Professor Hawking was speaking at the Sydney Opera House on Saturday night via a 3D hologram projection from his actual location at Cambridge University in the U.K. During the talk Hawking answered questions from his daughter, journalist Lucy Hawking and physicist Paul Davies, as well as audience members at the Opera house.

Of course many chose to ask sensible questions about topics such as, the future of our planet and the mysteries of the universe. But one questioner took the opportunity of an open floor with Hawking and really ran with it.

"What do you think is the cosmological effect of Zayn leaving One Direction and consequently breaking the hearts of millions of teenage girls across the world?” they asked the famed physicist.

Hawking, as usual, had the perfect response. "Finally, a question about something important,” he replied, according to Buzzfeed. Before launching into some serious mind blowing science talk.

"My advice to any heartbroken young girl is to pay close attention to the study of theoretical physics. Because one day there may well be proof of multiple universes," he said. "It would not be beyond the realms of possibility that somewhere outside of our own universe lies another different universe. And in that universe, Zayn is still in One Direction."

Hawking then concluded by adding, "This girl may like to know that in another possible universe, she and Zayn are happily married." So there you have it One Directioners. Everything is going to be okay, according to Professor Hawking!
