Following her sudden and acrimonious break-up with Zayn Malik several months ago, Perrie Edwards is moving on by purchasing her own property and moving out of the multi-million pound London ‘lovenest’ she shared with the ex-One Direction star.

The Little Mix singer, 22, has moved her belongings out of the six-bedroom London mansion she bought with Zayn for £4.2 million only last summer, and into a more modest property. Well, modest only by comparison – it’s reportedly a £1 million, four bedroom bungalow in leafy Surrey with a massive garden.

“Perrie buying her own property is the biggest sign yet she’s finally over Zayn and ready to move on,” a source told The Sun. “Her new place is really pretty and she’s done it up so the design is all her and she loves it. Her mum Debbie will stay loads and she has a lot of pets to keep her company but she’s not lonely – she’s enjoying her new independent life.”

When her engagement to Zayn disintegrated at the end of August, she was initially kicked out of the lavish London property by him. However, he eventually moved to New York with his new girlfriend, supermodel Gigi Hadid, and the heartbroken Edwards was at least allowed back in to the property she co-owns.

Clearly, the Geordie star not been moping around the massive house being heartbroken, but is moving on having used the house as a base to look for a new place. It’s not known whether she’ll be splitting the proceeds of any prospective sale of the London property with her ex.

Recently, Zayn denied the widely reported rumour that he had ended his relationship with Perrie by text message. “I love Perrie a lot, and I always will, and I would never end our relationship over four years like that. She knows that, I know that, and the public should know as well. I don’t want to explain why or what I did, I just want the public to know I didn’t do that.”
