Hollywood star Zachary Quinto was worried his financial film Margin Call would fail to attract investors because of potential comparisons to the Wall Street sequel.
The Star Trek actor makes his producing debut with the drama, which focuses on the money markets crisis in 2008 and features an ensemble cast including Kevin Spacey, Stanley Tucci, Demi Moore and Jeremy Irons.
Quinto admits he had reservations the concept would look dated when it hit theatres - but he's convinced he's given the project a "different perspective" from other similarly themed films.
He tells Total Film magazine, "There was a lot of concern about that especially because there was a deluge of projects being made around the time we were raising money for Margin Call like Wall Street 2 and The Company Men. But we just felt like this was a different perspective on it all."
