Zach Braff is heading back to the small screen to direct a new comedy.
The Scrubs star has been commissioned by bosses at America's ABC network to write, direct and executive produce a new half-hour show called Garage Bar.
The sitcom will focus on a group of pals whose lives change when one friend becomes a pop star.
A pilot episode is expected to go into production next year (13), and the project will be turned into a series if it proves a success with U.S. audiences.
Braff enjoyed a nine-year stint on Scrubs until the comedy was cancelled in 2010.
