The Last Of Shiela Review

Excellent
The odd pair of Anthony Perkins and Stephen Sondheim wrote this underseen thriller, a whodunit that puts widower James Coburn on a boat with his old friends, one of whom may have accidentally run over his wife a year ago in an unsolved hit-and-run. Is Coburn's live-action mystery game a clever way to ferret out the killer? Or is something more mysterious at work here? The body count will nearly fill a hand before a few days on the yacht are up, but it's the impressive cast and twisty script that will keep you watching to see who gets it next... and who gets away with it all.

The Swinger Review

Weak
Ann-Margret proved she could get her freak on (remember Tommy's baked beans?) in this 1966 farce, wheren a young Ann joins the "swinger underground" as an observer and makes up wild stories about her crazy life to sell to Girl Lure magazine. Mostly these comprise song and dance routines... that is, when the plot makes any sense at all. Ann's fab as ever, proving that she can make the crappiest of stories look, well, passable.

Weak
You know your monster movie's in trouble when the villain isn't even born until the 30 minute mark. This minor horror flick is notable for Oliver Reed's appearance as the title creature, but the adaptation of The Werewolf of Paris (which moves the action to Spain) never amounts to much, because little ever happens in the story. Our antihero starts hunting goats during full moons when he's just a kid. Later he moves on to the residents of his village. Naturally this leads to a lynch mob, but even that doesn't raise the temperature more than a few degrees.
