Rapper Young Jeezy has threatened to leak his upcoming album to fans for free after becoming embroiled in a dispute with bosses at his record label.
The Put On hitmaker announced plans for his fifth studio release, The Statute of Limitations is Over, in September (13), and he has since completed work on the new music.
However, he has accused executives at Def Jam Records and Universal Music Group of stalling the project after failing to set an official release date, and now he has vowed to release it online in time for the holidays.
In a series of Twitter.com posts on Tuesday (12Nov13), the annoyed hip-hop star writes, "I been perfecting this album 2 years for my fans... N**gas (at) DefJamRecords keep playing games if you want! If Def Jam don't get this right y'all (you all) got an early xmas gift (sic)."
Jeezy experienced similar delays with his last album, 2011's Thug Motivation: 103 Hustlerz Ambition, which was reportedly held back for almost two years.
