Aussie X-Men actor Hugh Jackman has discovered the antipodean contingent in Hollywood all stick close together.

Hugh, who is married to Australian actress Deborra-lee Furness, says the only difficulty is getting everyone in the same place at the same time.

Jackman, the youngest of five siblings, explains of his native contemporaries in the Hollywood hills, "These days there seem to be more of us here than there are at home. We all know each other and a lot of us are very good friends.

"I'm very friendly with Simon Baker, I've been on holidays with ANTHONY LAPAGLIA, and DOM PURCELL and I go way back - we went to drama school together for three years so we're great mates. Nicole Kidman is a friend too, as well as being someone whose work really inspires me.

"The problem is that although there are a lot of us, we're not often all in town at the same time. There was one famous evening at the Golden GlobeS two years ago (2001) when there were nine of us nominated, and we all got together and made a pact that we'd stick with each other and go on a party crawl."

Handsome Hugh admits that Gladiator hunk Russell Crowe was the last man standing at the end of the wild night.
