Fearsome heavyweight boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko has been forced to pull the plug on his upcoming fight with Frenchman Jean-marc Mormeck after undergoing two operations in as many days over the weekend (03-04Dec11).
The heavyweight clash was billed to take place in Germany on Saturday night (10Dec11), but Klitschko, the ex-boyfriend of actress Hayden Panettiere, is still recovering from surgeries to remove a kidney stone and is too weak to fight.
Klitschko's manager is now hoping to reschedule the fight for March (12).
The champion was hospitalised on Friday (02Dec11) after suffering abdominal pain during training.
The kidney stone was removed on Saturday (03Dec11), but Klitschko returned to the hospital in Dusseldorf on Sunday (04Dec11) for a second operation.
Saturday's fight would have been Klitschko's first boxing appearance since he beat Britain's David Haye in July (11).
