Willie Nile, one of the most respected singer/songwriters to emerge from the streets of Manhattan, makes a welcome return to the UK and Ireland following the huge success of his spring tour and the release of his highly praised eighth album 'American Ride' on Blue Rose Records.
Willie Nile is a songwriters' songwriter and his live performances are legendary. He has toured across the U.S. opening for The Who, at the personal request of the band, and sang with Bruce Springsteen at the Giants Stadium, New Jersey. Springsteen also recently joined Willie, on stage, in Asbury Park for Willie's song 'One Guitar'.
The New York Times called him "one of the most gifted singer-songwriters to emerge from the New York scene in years". He has been described as "a one-man Clash" and his critically acclaimed albums have received rave reviews around the World. Bono, LouReed, Lucinda Williams, Jim Jarmusch, Adam Duritz and Little Steven are among those who have sung his praises.
Support throughout the UK and Europe comes from Nashville based singer/songwriter Jefferson Grizzard.
