When asked whether he was looking forward to his birthday celebrations, Shatner said, "It's monstrous. Horrible and terrible fall short of describing it". The actor hit the headlines recently when he recorded a wake up message for the crew of the 'Discovery' space shuttle as it made its final mission to the International Space Station. The actor began his call at 3.23am, reprising his role as Captain Kirk and announcing, "Space, the final frontier. These have been the voyages of the space shuttle Discovery.
