William Shatner's infamous 1968 album THE TRANSFORMED MAN is to be re-released in time for Christmas (04), just three years after it was deleted from sale.

Experts at retrospective record label RHINO have revisited the original tapes, which feature the STAR TREK star reading poetry over symphonic versions of hits like the BEATLES' LUCY IN THE SKY WITH DIAMONDS, and will re-release the remastered cult album next month (07DEC04).

Interest in Shatner's music has recently been spiked thanks to his new acclaimed album, HAS BEEN, which features collaborations with Henry Rollins, Brad Paisley and Ben Folds.
