Hip-hop mogul SEAN 'P DIDDY' COMBS will be leaving his 'bling' jewellery at home when he performs at Saturday's (02JUL05) Live 8 concert - because he believes it would be inappropriate to flash the expensive gems while highlighting world poverty.
The LET'S GET ILL hitmaker will join huge names such as Will Smith, BON JOVI, Destiny's Child, Jay-Z, Linkin Park and Stevie Wonder on stage at Philadelphia's Museum of Art, in a bid to pressurise world leaders to abolish world poverty at the G8 Summit next week (06JUL05).
Diamond-loving Combs, who hasn't been seen without his 'bling' since he was 16-years-old, was advised to go jewel-free on Saturday.
A insider says, "It was put to him that it would seem incredibly tactless to go out on stage wearing a small fortune of diamonds on his neck, in his ears and on his wrists and fingers.
"So he decided for the first time ever to take everything off. He's thinking about wearing fakes, but he just doesn't know if he can bring himself to do that."28/06/2005 08:59
